post natal depression- Update

Post by rochelle_marsden »

It is 2 months since I saw this patient. Firstly she went back on the progesterone but within 2 days of the Rx (1 day of the progesterone) she started to feel so much better. She says she felt different- better than she had ever felt when she had been taking the progesterone previously. Over the next few days she felt calmer, more energy and started waking up early raring to get going. "I have a better perspective on things and am not letting them get out of control. When I think of past events now , instead of torturing myself about them I am enjoying the memory. I am now able to look ahead whereas I was fearful of looking forward. I can plan things and not get frightened."
I think the Aur.Mur. Nat was a good Rx for her. I have not repeated it as she still feels she is going up. Re her taking the progesterone again (she had a hormone blood test today) I think I will have to look on it like we look on prescription thyroxin as a hormone that should be in the body but is lacking and therefore will not upset the homeopathic treatment. Maybe if her progesterone levels are now normal or above she can come off it. She also insisted that when she has been on progesterone previously she has not felt as good as this. I was also able to confirm coffee and milk desires both in this Rx.
