Dynamic vs Static

Post by Ardavan Shahrdar »

Dear List,

It is apparent that an esophageal atresia or an
imperforate anus can not be cured by homoeopathy.
These are surgical cases. In everyday practice we may
encounter similar situations. These are not dynamic
affections to be cured by our dynamic remedies. They
can be called 'static' affections to be distinguished
from the 'dynamic' diseases.

Although static affections may promote dynamic
disturbances but they themselves can not be cured by
our remedies. In some cases, presription on the basis
of manifestations MAY cause temporary palliation, but
no cure follows.

Yes! This is apparent in cases like imperforate anus
or bladder calculi (as Hahnemann has also mentioned in
Organon), but the border between dynamic and static
affections is not always so apparent.

What is this border? Is it a fixed border in all human
beings or relatively changes in different individuals?
Something more than an off-hand decision should be
defined here.

How powerful is VF to create changes? It may heal some
injuries but can it create a new arm in an amputated
case? Embryology shows the miraculous power of VF in
prenatal developement; but what is VF's power after
birth? What's the limit? How does this limit can be
defined in our model of thinking?

These are important questions to be answered. Without
answering these questions, we are not sure about the
time when we should prescribe solely on the basis of
symptoms and when to rely on the pathological
diagnosis and choose a static treatment. For example
prescribing Aethusa for an infant with esophageal
atresia with fistula to lung (even if the picture
matches) results nothing but wasting time; a precious
time for surviving a human being.

I think that this is a good subject for discussion.

Sincerely yours,

Ardavan Shahrdar, MD

Dear Ardavan
A very nice question on philosophy.
The VF's power after birth in healthy baby is very strong. Cuts and scratches heal extremely quickly - literally overnight whereas in an adult they would take days.
The baby's metabolism is working extremely fast.
In adults we notice that cut finger tips often grow back and also some organs like the Liver can regenerate.
But a complete regrowing of a limb or automatic resolution of cases such imperforate anus would probably be impossible to be effected by VF even under proper Homoeopathic treatment.
But let us consider the imperforate anus and ask why has the baby's VF produced such a case.
I think a deranged VF deeply affected by miasms has produced an imperforate anus and having done so, then it will be unable to correct the situation. Because it is a mechanical imperfection and therefore medicine will fail everytime and the surgeon will have to pick up the knife.
BUT, what would have happened if we had treated both parents homoeopathically (i.e. by giving them their correct constitutional treatment) say from a year before conception. Would the baby be still be born with an imperforate anus? So does the proper Homoeopathic treatment affect the DNA and will it lead to a better genetic material for future generations?
Do we have any statistics on the number or % of physically imperfect Homeopathic babies?
In my view the imperforate anus is caused by some deep miasm running through such a case! Therefore such miasms will need to be removed.
I remember asking Sheilagh Creasy (One of the Senior Classical Homoeopaths) if we wished to have a healthy colony on the moon, how many generations would she need?
She answered about 9 or 10.
This may appear too short noting that according the biblical records there have been some 100 generations (and all the mischief that has taken place) from Prophet Adam to date!
So our task is long! and needs great patience.
Best regards
Soroush
