Hello everyone,
I remember brilliant notes regarding Cratagus were shared by Joy on this site, couple of years back. My question to all and specially to Joy is has anyone used Syzygium, Aspedosperma and Kurchi in their practice? I have prescribed these but never got the results these drugs are spoken so high in books. Especially Indian books say marvels about Syzygium abd Kurchi. Is it just national prestige or these drugs have worked actually at the hands of somenone? Is it that I am doing some wrong in prescribing the "QUANTITY" (sorry for this unscientific word but tinctures care used in drops). Kindly enlighten me on the site or personally. Would be grateful. Thanks and take care.

Very important rx for diabetes to consider, Syz, that is - a case I worked with a colleague. As far as I know/remember LM/01- LM/03 only ever used throughout the case.
Nice to hear from you Zaidee

Re: Efficacy of these three tinctures.
I have tried Syzygium many times, from mother tincture to high potency, never, ever got any positive results, one patient had an increase in blood sugar.
I would suggest that this lack of result is because the "this for that" approach I used and not having prescribed it according to Ayurvedic methodology..........and I am not sure it has a homeopathic proving.

Re: Efficacy of these three tinctures.
So the selection of potency was always wrong. So sad Joy, LMs are not available here, only decimal and centesimals. Some time back I heard that a pakistani firm M/S Masood would be supplying LMs but then never heard again in the market. What about the other two...kurchi and aspidosperma which is called cratagus of lungs? Should Aspido be also used in LM potency? Thanks for the valuable update.

Re: Efficacy of these three tinctures.
I tried it only once in 30c,and it gave rise to eruptions on the backside of neck. the patient was my brother in law and you know Joe what I had to do...begged pardon from my better half and sent him for Insulin...wink...poor me!!! I have mostly used in tincture, varying drops from 50 to 150 drops, before meals and at times after meals. But as Joy has added, it should be used in LMs, If could get it, would like to give it a try on the same patient...LOL...he is the only handy one at the time. For Ayuvedic methodology, do you mean to use it in powder from...the seeds. Well these can also be put to try as this is a common fruit here. Any feedback on this ayurvedic methodology?

Re: Efficacy of these three tinctures.
I do not know Ayurveda enough (actually almost not at all....) to comment..........all I know is that like with homeopathy and TCM, the proper remedy or combination has to be individually selected for each patient.
I would be very much interested in knowing which rubrics were used to prescribed this remedy, as it never ever appears in any of my repertorisations.

I know nothing about these others but LM's for me are such a valuable
choice in chronic disease and even more so where there has been a lot
of allopathy, i.e. drugs, or the diseased state has been exceptionally
long in duration - you can buy them in from other pharmacies, surely

The woman I worked with had a fantastic knowledge of plants and she wanted to use this - but we have the MM on it and I think you'll find Boericke, Boger, Hering, Kent, and Clarke to be useful + more modern references from Blackwood, Saine, Hughes, Ahmad, Madaus, Choudhuri, (from complete dynamics) + others I imagine.
