I would like to suggest an inquiry identifying whether there are
additional presentaions of dryness, and the quality of the pulse..is
it thin, is it superficial or deep, is it weak? Is there facial
puffiness?

Dear Isali,
She came to me as a Homeopath, I am not trained in TCM, so I can't tell
you about the pulse. Her skin is only moderately dry if at all, and her
other symptoms (this is NOT her presenting symptom, just a peculiar one.
The presenting symptom was 'lumbago' and hot flashes of menopause,
aggravated at rest). Facial puffiness? Not really, just under the eyes.
If thinking NOT along Homeopathic lines (which is just a thought, as I
do Homeopathy...), I feel that maybe her perspiration on the palm of the
right hand with very little on the left side during exercise, may
indicate some difficulty in the lymphatic system on the LEFT side. Does
it make any sense???
I am looking for RUBRICS to add to her otherwise rather clear
repertorization.
Thanks
Sara

Re: perspiring hands
Certainly take puffiness under the eyes as a symptom (how is her kidney
function and is she drinking enough water (2 litres a day minimum?
tea/coffee etc not included)

Soroush,
Which Rubric would you suggest for puffiness under the eyes???
Yes she is drinking quiet a bit, regularly. She is more damp than dry
though. She does not drink any coffee or tea, just water. Normally,
room temperature, and sometimes she likes it cold, especially when she
has hot flashes or in summer. She has had swelling of ankles, which
resolved with this exercise routine.
