So this guy who has a damaged and scarred heart from his sarcodosis...would he
need a heart remedy before any treatment began? He has edema in heart and feet
if noone remembers and his sarcodosis no longer active( in remission?) Or
wouldn't those drainage or organ remedies(is there a difference?)do anything
for scarred tissue. Since this started i've persuaded him to change his diet
which he happily is doing. He doesn't really even know what homeopathy
is...and i'm sure he thinks thats what i do, is change people's diets and ask
a lot of questions.
All i know at the moment is that he is crazy about oysters, eats a lot of
them, has to have his glass of white wine and some scotch before bedtime(his
doctor says thats okay as he does not have a liver problem and, is very
competitive and grumpy, saracastic, and generous to those less fortunate than
himself..in fact, since his prognosis of death..he bought two turkeys for the
winners of a bridge tournament(he gets about 700. a month from disability).
Unfortunately or fortunately, he and my friend who knows him, won the
tournament and they got the turkeys. He coughs up green stuff in the morning
for two hours with a horrible whooping sound..and then he is good to go. His
feet are the color purple with the edema and have always been purplish, even
before the edema. Sounding kind of lachesis. I still have to meet with him a
few more times. I'm in no hurry.(as for sides..i don't know much except that
the swelling is a little worse on left side of foot and his shingle outbreak
was from his stomach around to his back...no sides.
But the question is whether some pre-therapy is necessary.

Re: organ drainage
I would use Crataegus low daily - 3X or 6X to support the heart. I have seen this improve things enormously in heart problems.

Re: organ drainage
There is a huge difference between drainage and supporting an organ with a rx but the latter also has to be treated as either part of the totality of the case or it is indeed, in itself, the totality of the case. Suggesting one rx willy nilly without knowing details of a case can be dangerous enough but when there are heart sx even worse.
As always the case needs to be taken by a qualified and hopefully Hahnemannian homeopath, and the whole case presented, otherwise this is guess work. There are hundreds of rx that will 'support' the heart but the simillimum to what needs to be cured will be the best.

Re: organ drainage
He seems to have circulatory problems.............whether they are linked to the heart or to peripheral vessels problems, difficult to judge without physically seeing the patient..............But there would be no problem and no harm in supporting his heart, his circulation before and during the homeopathic treatment.
The usual question that will be asked is "how do you know which treatment did what?" Certainly if his circulation gets better his general status will improve, but the more general effect on the whole picture at different levels will be the result of a deeper treatment.
As for scar tissues, I use gemmotherapic remedies (herbal) and Thiosinaminum with good results....specific remedies prescribed in a non-homeopathic way to be very clear about that.

Re: organ drainage
Hi,
Why aren't you taking the deeper case? Is he hard to get answer from? I mean conditions such as he just doesn't feel anything or can't understand your questions? If he is, I would do the best I could with a more shallow remedy such as a drainage remedy and hope that he would begin to get the idea. That is, he has to help you with evidence. I take it he follows instructions well. That makes it easier to take a slow approach.
Best,
Ellen
