Pain relief - was L5

Post by d rona »

Interesting you should mention the burn – I have seen Hypericum 200 be very effective for pain in multiple burn cases. I guess I was totally focused on the discussion of low back pain and forgot the other cases of pain where Hypericum was a wonder – at a variety of potencies. Thanks for the reminder.

Just FWIW, I've had fine results from Hypericum 200c for a few situations, e.g. head injury (barrette driven into the scalp by a fall--first I assumed arnica, which did nothing, but Hyper. 200 gave complete relief in about 5 minutes); and crushing injury to toe (note to self: when trying to shove cows around, WEAR SHOES! ;-D ). I first took arnica, which interestingly made the pain much *worse*, then took Hyper. 200, which dropped the pain down to a whisper, at five minutes or less. It also worked well for chemical burns on a hand. But for a couple of people with intense back pain, appearing to radiate down the nerve--nothing.
I too am anxious to hear from Theresa about how high is necessary. I have never found 200c to be very effective in acute pain cases, and seldom 30c has been useful. In my experience (personal and with clients) 12x has been absolutely amazing for acute nerve pain relief. Having crushed my little finger last night – I was just reminded of its effectiveness.

Theresa, how high have you found to be needed?
On a couple of occasions when I gave 200 and/or lower, I was disappointed. It didn't occur to me to try going higher, tho.
Thanks,

/Also, I find hypericum a better 'painkiller' when nerves are involved, but very high.
