first, dear natasha, i did/do agree with what you wrote to me on feb 10 that
i "quickly....dismissed the books...cited" by you. i apologize. i have not
wanted to write until i could make time to act, and so am writing to tell
you now that i checked "as nature made him" out of the library today and
will read it/skim it. i will be in touch with you after/during doing so.
now, dear all, i had a major click this weekend, an aha experience. like
cures like is the major foundation of homeopathy. i have experienced on
both sides of the line for over 20 years that in healing people like also
cures like. sooooooooooo - my click/aha: how could homeopathy not give
serious thought to this in healing people, since homeopathy's major
premise/tenet is that like cures like.why would it only be with diseases and
remedies. the vital force, it seems to me, would be affected not only by
the like remedy but also by the like person who had solved this problem
already themselves. i told this to a friend and he said, scholten also says
that. i had remembered reading scholten saying something about aa
(alcoholics anonymous) so went back tonight and am going to quote some of it
here. however, although scholten does say like people heal like people, he
does not extend the meaning of the rubric so to speak, in connecting it to
homeopathy as i have just done.:this comes from scholten, homeopathy and
minerals, the section disease as creation and the section under that,
disease as myth or fairy tale. i do not have page numbers because mine is
on eh and there are no page numbers given: "disease can also be seen as
myth or fairy tale. however, we also see certain themes returning. one
person's problem is seldom unique.you can find it within many people. it
has become apparent that the best help with a certain problem can be given
by those people who themselves have had and resolved that same type of
problem. they are best able to feel the essence of the problem and to know
where the solutions are to be found and where only tempo-rary solutions will
fail. 'alcoholics anonymous' is a good example of this." i am told that
scholten got this from joseph campbell, whom i have never read and never
planned to. but i know, never say never. i know all about striking,
singular uncommon, peculiar, (characteristic), but in my experience there
