codex alimentarius has been inching forward over the years since I gave up trying to warn people about it.

the corpacracy is intent on it's mission: ever increasing profits, regardless of any impact on human quality of life, or biosphere depradation.

controlling which herbs and vitamins are allowed (by treaty between nations .. a very compelling legalistic control mechanism) .. together with attempting to enforce compulsory vaccination (swine flu scare, anyone? the US has recently enacted statues for easily declaring "martial law" in epidemic.. armed soldiers may decide you need to be vaccinated) .. and attempts (failing so far) to take over world agriculture with FrankenFood GMOs) are part of a collusion to maximize profitability (would give a boost to the ailing pharma industry as well, by cutting out some of the means people use to sustain health and cure illness .. creating an ever growing population of sickness for $pharma to feast on.)

Other dramatic problems include corpocratic biopiracy, attempts to privatize, monopolize, and squeeze blood-money out of world water resources.
Not to mention mega$ from corps to try to derail positive environmental legislation / movement; similar situation with anything related to increasing public wellness - it's not good for business as usual... sick people are easier to control than vibrantly health ones, and of course big $pharma has no use for wellness.
