Swine Flu and cytokines

Post by Irene de Villiers »

Swine Flu - As I see it:

I refuse to use "cytokine storm" as a term, I think it is way too
fear-mongering. Cytokines are the tools - several dozen of them - of
the immune system, and what allopaths are now calling a cytokine
storm, used to be called "toxic shock". Whatever you call it, they
are referring to an imbalanced response from the immune system, which
is so severe that it causes multiple organ failure through
mitochondrial failure - which in turn involves lack of oxygen. It
becomes a vicious cycle a the resultant toxins in the blood stream go
to the brain and disable its normal regulatory function of the immune
system.

Cytokines are the messengers of that system and are directed by the
brain (whose main function is healing not thinking) to decide what
kinds of immune system fighters are needed and in what quantity.
Messengers include so many different specific cytokines and
chemokines and regulatory chemicals and suppressive chemicals that I
predict it will take allopathy a long time to unravel it all and know
exactly what is doing which to whom and why. But a few things are
emerging that may be worth considering in deciding how to help a
patient with this illness:

In Swine flu the CDC and other medical officials in a documentary on
TV last night, did confirm that where swine flue causes deaths, it
does involve an excessive imbalanced cytokine response, in which the
regulator T cells (called Tregs for short) from the thymus have
FAILED to control the overproduction of inflammatory cells. This
results in overuse of oxygen, depletion of it in mitochondria,
lowering of available energy in the body and thus accumulation of
fluid in the lungs, causing death in a way that "looks" like
drowning, but actually also involves multiple organ failure (due to
the lack of oxygen to brain and organs) - ie toxic shock - the body
goes into shock.

Separate Research which *I* consider relevant also shows that:
* A damaged thymus can not make Treg cells needed to temper the over-
response. (proven in babies born with damaged thymus who die from
this same syndrome)
* Every vaccination we get causes thymus damage. (Is this why our
over-vaccinated youth is more susceptible to the virus?)
* Alpha-lipoic acid is an anti-oxidant that not only improves oxygen
needs but recyucles the Vit CF and Vit E available to the systyem up
to 200 times - all three being anti-oxidants..
* The food supplement Moducare (containing plant sterols and
sterolins) - definitely increases the Th-1 cytokines activity (which
is the group of cytokines which is Thymus-related)
* Interleukin-2 (= IL2 = A cytokine also involved in macrocyte
making) is needed as part of the trigger to make Tregs - the missing
regulator cells that DIS-allow the "cytokine storm" and balance
things out. Macrocytes are oftehn chosen b y a virus as the kin of
cell to damage in order to disrupt defences in the body - thus
depleting IL2 and Tregs and the macrocytes needed to engulf and
destroy the virus - all in one major very effective attack strategy.
* Research in mice to correct this, was quite effective - in mice -
but the first trial this year in people - was NOT effective. (Very
new German research o PubMed)

The difference?
How many vaccines did the mice get? They likely have a healthy
thymus, and so they could respond?
Humans are all thymus-damaged these days - I can not find one who had
no vaccines and no soy food?
So we have a thymus predisposed to inappropriate and imbalanced auto-
immune responses. It is why we see so much autoimmune illness these
days.

I also want to add in a factor from my own work:
The virus I know best is FIP. It happens to also attack macrocytes.
It happens to also need IL-2 to come right. It happens to also kill
very fast. It happens to also kill by the loss of body fluid as the
most obvious sign. The difference: In cats, they never get fluid in
the lungs - they get it outside the lungs and it squashes the lungs.
Or they get fluid in the abdomen instead or as well. In people (and
in dogs and others) fluid can accumulate IN the lungs. The remedy
MOST effective to prevent or reverse the fluid loss and restore IL-2
function and do it so well that the macrocytes under attack, turn the
tables and attack the virus - has so far been Cinchona officianalis.
China may or may not be worth consideration in Swine Flu as a genus
epidemicus option - I do not know the Swine flu symptoms besides the
fluid and IL-2 issues - to know. But I thought I'd mention it just in
case it helps.

My idea is to use Aconitum napellus at the first sign of illness to
stave off the body's going into toxic shock (and to hopefully nip it
in the bud) - and also to heavily supplement antioxidants including
in the diet, but with added 4 hourly alpha lipoic acid, Vit C, and
daily Vit E and Moducare all in high doses. Also, Vit B6, pantothenic
acid more Vit C to help adrenal glands and stop/prevent the nausea
caused by their depletion (which happens when stress hormones are
released as is hugely the case in cytokine "storm").
While that is all being absorbed, find the best matched remedy.
Diet: Fish oil and extra virgin olive oil as the fats, as they are
anti-oxidant, skip all others as they use up more oxygen. Lots of
Green leaves, pumpkin and nori. Plenty of protein especially eggs for
the brain food they have.
Maybe magnesium and potassium supplement. Grapes, mango, berries etc
rather than any junkfood - again to boost antioxidants.
Ferrum phos first aid as needed also to boost oxygen.

And of course the matched main remedy.
I find that the right supporting orchestra makes a huge difference
especially in a FAST illness, compared to using the best matched
remedy alone.

Namaste,
Irene
