So, the reason that the 1918 pandemic hit so hard in what was percieved to be "young and healthy" is somewhat questionable:
There was apparently famine at that time.. people who would otherwise have been "young and healthy" are described as having been sometimes emaciated and starving .. just prior to the pandemic.

That aside, the healthier (stronger) the normal "immune response" to some acute respiratory viral infection .. the greater chance of "cytokine storm.."
1. Bird flu patients die from acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) caused by the cytokine storm, and not directly from the virus. Historic survival in ARDS is 60%-85%; with bird flu-associated ARDS it is 43%.
2. Neuraminidase inhibitors (i.e. Tamiflu, Relenza) are not clinically proven effective for bird flu patients and cannot address the lethal cytokine storm associated with the infection.
3. The treatment to prevent or stop the autoimmune reaction (cytokine storm) is commercially available by prescription, but is not currently being recommended by the World Health Organization to treat these patients.

Homeopaths who've left written record of 1918 pandemic cases have fairly universally condemned the use of aspirin (and in any event no one to this day fully seems to understand what/how/why aspirin causes its various apparent ameliorations of some symptoms in other use.)
"Modern" medicine is still promoting the use of aspirin in treating "cytokine storm" but also recognizes anti-inflammatory compounds: omega-3 fatty acids (fish oil) and curcumin (turmeric).
Homeopathic treatment of currently reported symptoms might be well-informed by study of 1918 pandemic; as well as study of remedies known homeopathic in pulmonary edema.. as at a certain point, that may be the entire acute picture (proximate cause of impending death.)
Murphy lists a bunch of remedies for pulmonary edema. A few of the major ones: Ant-t, apis, apoc, ars, bry, colch, hell, kali-c, lach, lyc, merc-s.
There was said to be petechiae

That makes very little sense.
If there is an epidemic, there is a "genus epidemicus" - a set of
symptoms characterizing the epidemic;
there is then the equivalent of a homeopathic case, and generally a
very short-list of Rx.
The leader amongst these is considered homeopathic in this particular epidemic.
The genus epidemicus can (does) vary some from place to place.
Homeoprophylaxis isn't tautopathy.
