Acne Keloid

I had a young patient in today and her father asked if I could do anything
for him!! He is white Caucasian and said that he has acne keloid which a
specialist said is very unusual as it is only found in men with black skin.
I have a good read of Diseases of the Skin by Dr Farokh Master ( I met him
at a SoH conference last year) and this didn't really give me any clues. It
presents only on the back of his head - from the middle down to the neck and
where it is present there is no hair. Now I haven't taken a case history
but the only other thing he revealed - or rather his wife did (!!) was that
he has had an operation very recently for diverticulitis.
Has anyone come across this before and have they managed to treat it
successfully. I work by finding a constitutional remedy and do realise that
this is the way forward.

Dear Rochelle
This case reminds me of some years back when a client presented with
pyoderma gangrenosum in an acute flare up. Both ankle areas were
covered with a 6" round of red inflammed non-puss producing 'lesion'.
This process of the pyoderma had over the previous 3 years presented
on the hips, inner thighs, knees and now the ankles.
During the consult, it is revealed a chronic case of Crohn's disease
has been with the patient for several years.
Turning the healing process around a bit, I focused on the Crohn's
rather than the presenting pyoderma, left out most of the emotional
state, since he was in such pain that he was not giving me much
except anger at questions. Within 6 months of empiric intestinal
treatments the bowels had normalized and the pyoderma was pain free
and the lesion reduced to about 1". After 16 months the skin was
clear and the Crohns certainly at bay. We then started to work more
efficiently on the other levels. My point is to always connect the
bowels and the skin no matter and work from the inside out. These
type of unusal opportunities can and will respond. If your person
came to me I would not hesitate to begin by retrieving all the
intestinal information and the correlating the emotional group info.
The skin whether a keloid or whatever will backtrack and normalize
itself due to the empowerment of the gut actions, from within to
without.

Thanks for posting that Mark. It was very interesting. Now lets see if he
decides to make an appointment after his wife has seen me. The men are
always the last to come for homeopathy in the family!!!
