I'm interested in learning more about the acute use of remedies for first aid emergencies. I've seen firsthand how effective homeopathy can be, and I'd like to have a better grasp of which remedies to use for various emergency situations. I can pose specific questions if anyone is willing to engage in this kind of discussion with me. Just let me know.

Re: Seeking Discussion: Acute Remedies
Hi Melody,
To give us some frame of reference, have you read some books and/or
websites, or are you sort of starting fresh on basis of some
experience? If you haven't done reading yet, we could suggest some
books and sites to start at? Oops, looking back at your question re
remedies for bleeding, I see you've read at some websites. How about
books? There are some very nice ones specifically aimed at guiding the
lay / home prescriber thru handling various types of acutes and
traumas. I'm not familiar with newer ones, but the ones that I used
very happily, and found very helpful, were "Homeopathy In The Home" by
Panos, and "Everybody's Guide" by Dana Ullman. If you haven't already,
you should have a look at e.g.
www.homeopathic.com
www.minimum.com
www.wholehealthnow
and there are others... Homeopathic book sellers, which include nice
descriptions and reviews of the books, divided up into categories so
you can browse among those that are mostly likely to give you what
you're looking for. And, possibly you can get some from your local
library--tho that may be a mix of useful and not-useful, beginner and
advanced, etc.!
One advantage to beginning with books, is that the presentation is apt
to be more organized and more thorough than you'll likely find (or
read) just from websites. Once you've got a conceptual basis in place,
websites can be terrific for expanding upon that.
I'll try again to frame an answer to your bleeding question, since it
doesn't appear that you got much response. (Because it is an awfully
broad question...)
Cheers,
Shannon
