Milk remedies - mothering concerns

Post by Ellen Madono »

Hi,
Continuing the discussion about animal kingdom, for 3 generations the grandmothers of the patient's family take over a large part of the mothering role. (The case is being discussed with in regards to potency selection and I discussed it before in regards to Lac-e). The mother works outside and the grandmother does all the nurturing of the grandchildren. The patient did this with her grandchildren and she was raised by her grandmother. She is a very upbeat person and also concerned with face, so she does not complain about this. In fact, she is grateful to her mother who did not care for her, but cared for her children. I wonder if this situation would qualify as a Lac-e, or a milk remedy situation? When she cared for her grandchildren she warned her daughter that she would keep her grandchildren from danger, but she would not provide discipline or oversight of school work. Milks are supposed to have trouble with mothers. Her grandchildren call her Mama. Odd but she likes it.
Best,
Ellen
