Me!!!

Post by Rochelle »

Yesterday I started with an acute flare up of arthritis in my left ring finger. It is years since this happened before. First the top joint ceased up and then the second joint. It doesn't hurt unless I try to move the finger straight down in which the second joint feels stiff , the top joint now doesn't hurt when I squeeze it but the second joint is stiff and hurts if I try to bend it. It is also so swollen that I can't get the rings back on that I removed yesterday when this started. That second joint is very tender to touch.
There is nothing else wrong with me at the moment as a concomitant but last week had what I thought was interstitial cystitis hence my posts on it but that went away after putting a slurp of Yarrow and Meadowsweet herbal tinctures in my green tea twice in one day!!
Have taken one Lyco 30 yesterday and later one Benz acid 30 last night and this morning it is no better. Maybe I expect too much of 1 dose of a remedy to improve something :-) :-)
Any suggestions???? If I remember rightly it will take a few days for this to go back to normal. I have osteoarthritis in most of my fingers and the joints have nosodities but don't hurt or restrict movement!! (I blame my Mum as she had the same!!!)
Thanks

wonder about Urtica Urens , colchicum. Once found radium brom useful and wondered if C/T scans for chest ever contributed. I have a lot of trouble at times and Urtica Urens worked once. Was interested in that as lost my father before I was 3 and there was a lovely aricle in Links once relating several cases cured by Urtica to loss of father.
One does a lot of wondering, , Jean

i had found glucosamine very helpful years ago with osteoarthritis in my thumbs.
it had gotten pretty bad before i acknowledged the problem. glucosamine, however,
did nothing for my knees. i did use low level laser on my knees which actually rebuilt
the soft tissue over a 6? month period.
i also began using omega-3 oil which helped the knees specifically, and the rest of
the body generally. when i switched to krill oil, i noticed even better results in keeping
the inflammation down.
i don't think i ever found a homeopathic rx that really helped these problems

Thanks Jean and Tamara.
I have been taking Glucosamine for years in a high dose!!!
The stiffness is a little easier today but second joint still stiff very painful to touch. The top joint doesn't hurt any more although that is where it started yesterday!!

i am sure you know that all products are not the same in quality. the one i used
was researched by my visual therapist and it worked really well. sorry i can't
recall the brand since i haven't used it since i began with the lllaser work.

I am now using the new Glucosamine Hydrochloride which contains 83% pure glucosamine per tablet as opposed to 60% in the 2KCl form.

Also glucosamine *isn't* the key for everyone, according to what I
read. Possibly adding chondroitin and/or MSM (wonderful for so *many*
things anyway), but there are other things too, that I don't
remember...

Has anyone here tried the "osteoarthritis nosode"?

You have just reminded me that I have got some in!!!! I bought it years ago from Helios in a 30C but have never taken it. I wonder if it would shrink all my knobbly fingers (not :-) )?
