Re: chicken pox
Just in case of what? You don't know how she'll manifest -- or even whether she'll contract the chicken pox!
There is a reason for childhood diseases like chicken pox: they challenge and help an immature immune system develop. In most cases, it's best to let the disease run its course, offering only supportive care. Remedies should come into play only if there are clear sxs -- and the child is having a tough time with them.
Peace,
Dale

WHAT??? Thuja????????
Answers this make me insane. Terrible way to use remedies
I agree with the previous posters on this
Wait to see if she even gets them
Allow her to have a good case to develop immunity and help her vital force
Acute miasms (illnesses such as chickenpox) help to express and get rid of old inherited and acquired disturbances (miasms)

Re: chicken pox
Hi Carole,
Others may have different information on this, but I'll share what I
was taught.
The best way to develop immunity to chicken pox is simply to *get* it;
and it's possible to have a case so light that immunity doesn't
develop. That could happen either naturally (e.g. child has a spot or
two, then nothing more?), or (I was told) could even happen by using
preventive measures such as a remedy "just in case" (I'm not sure what
that would be, tho). I can't swear this is the case, but it's what the
class speaker said.
So from the standpoint of building *life-long* immunity (and no vaccine
would give that!), the best thing is to let it play out, and *then* use
remedies *if needed*. Usually chicken pox is a mild disease; a few
days of staying home and itching (oatmeal baths help), then done, and
never have to think about it again. Plus it's said (by more and more
people) that the process of getting and recovering from the "childhood
diseases" actually has a good effect on the child's immune system;
helps it to become more robust and efficient, less risk in later years
of allergies and ?. Many people have said their child seemed to have a
developmental "leap" right afterwards.
When mine were little, I'd done an active search for kids with chicken
pox, and arranged playdates so they *would* catch it--at a reasonably
convenient time. It worked, they itched, they got better, no
problem...
For the occasional case where the child becomes *very* uncomfortable,
there are several remedies that be very helpful, but that choice is
made by the usual acute prescribing criteria, so if it comes to that,
ask again!
Unless it's as particularly *bad* time for her to get it... Is there
anything like that?

Re: chicken pox
Oh, I see!
Well, my first thought would have to be--has she seen a good,
experienced homeopath, or are the parents interested in that? That
would be the best way to get her brought back to strength, *and* to
have good care on board if it should be needed. Homeopathic care is
just wonderful for acute illnesses, but is IMO *especially* valuable
in that it can really raise the overall level of health, make illnesses
less frequent and less troublesome, and make the child / person feel
better in general. It could help her finish getting over the effects
of her June illness. Is that something they'd be interested in?
For immediate support, tho... Her age and condition make that
touchier; maybe others will chime in... But if she were mine, I'd be
considering a range of broad support measures--and perhaps they're
already doing some or all, but I'll just throw out some thoughts.
I'd first consider what her diet is like. Ideally she should be eating
*nothing* that isn't nourishing and supportive for her--she should not
have (well, no child should, but especially no weak or sick child)
anything with sugar, white flour, aspartame, and little or no fried or
processed foods. For some families this would represent a very big
change, and be very difficult; for others it's already the standard.
And for some *kids* that wouldn't be too hard, but others would howl to
get their unk food! (Personally I had one of each, so it's not even
all about habits.) Maybe before I go farther I should ask what you can
tell us about her general diet?

Re: chicken pox
The reply from Dale is excellent.
Yes, chickenpox, measles, teething are all items that are programmed into us by our Creator, God.
In his infinite Wisdom, they are there to build immunity. Vaccinations interrupt this immunity building process.
This is why nearly 90% of children who teeth will have an associated fever. Suppress the fever, and it will manifest in what is called ‘hot blood’ syndrome. This leads to other problems, namely, epilepsy, anger, restlessness and so on.
The same – as Dale has mentioned – is true for other childhood disease that occur.
It’s a God given program that enables us to develop. The problem with conventional medicine is that it has become too complicated and focused on scientific evidence and pathology. Why is it there; How does it happen; Why did it happen like this and so on and so forth.
I agree with Sherri and Dale – apologies to Sherri for my previous reply J
But…………..God has given mankind the blessings and gift of Homeopathy. Remember the only reason Hahnemann went the route of Homeopathy was NOT because he wanted something different, but because he believed that for every disease, God would have created its natural remedy/cure on this earth itself. It’s the searching, proving, theory he conducted. But it was not just his own masterpiece. It was a blessing from his creator. The fruits of these blessings are today with us – we live and breathe it. We earn a living from it.
