observing ourself dispassionately

Post by lynnpax »

(Soroush replies:)

Soroush, quite frankly, some of your comments & questions make me cringe.
For instance, the question above
(matriarchal mindset that allows approves abortion?)
has been answered over & over during the last few days.
For what ever reason, the truth is so threatening to you that you can not
take the information in.

You might benefit your practise by asking yourself:
"What beliefs might I have to give up to understand that women are not
driven solely by instinct?
"How will it impact me if I understand that women have brains and
aspirations outside of motherhood, that some do not desire to ever become
parents & that this is not pathological?

The more disturbed a person the less likely they are to be able to engage
their personal witness - the "higher" part of ourself that observes
ourself dispassionately. Engaging our personal witness, which many people
do during meditation, facilitates growth, truer more effective action in
the world and the soul's evolution.
The areas in a person's mindset that are closed to observation by their
own witness are indications of their own pathology.
Unless a person is able to witness, address and modify unhealthy thoughts
and behaviors they are doomed to repeat these limiting behaviors again
and again.
Sincerely,
Lynn pax
Soroush
