music". At the time some of his outstanding characteristics were:
- an obsession with really ghastly (okay, IMO) "music", which I guess
would be classed as "death metal", sounds pretty much like someone
being stomped on and words dealing with... well, to the extent that I
listened or could understand, variations of "ooooh my #$*@(#$ life
sucks and you do too so let's go smash somebody's face", etc. And some
having themes of e.g. vampires, death by disease, suicide, etc...
And
- wanting as much as possible to dress all in black. Now and then he
had a chain, also rings and for a while necklace type things.
- A tendency to answer questions with a (leaning back, exerting
minimum possible vocal energy) "uh."
There was plenty more, but it was the music, manner, and dressing all
in black that I was especially "intrigued" by; seemed so distinctive!!
(And incidentally, so *wildly* different from the sunny boy he'd been
not too long before!)
Based on other things I eventually settled on Tub. While I'm not
convinced there wasn't a *better* choice to be made, Tub. has been
doing him a lot of good. I gave 10M, repeated at about 3
months--*much* sooner than I would normally want to repeat a 10M, but I
was taught that with Tuberculinum (esp. in children, or generally? not
sure) you are apt to need to repeat much sooner than would normally be
necessary with a high potency. (I think Marjorie Blackie is one who
wrote about that?) So, when he started to slip at about the 3 month
mark I repeated, and improvement resumed.
It's been kind of interesting, in the past he's tended to respond very
quickly to remedies. This time improvement was a slower to begin (days
rather than minutes or hours), but built up a nice, steady momentum,
which is still progressing. In the first months the changes were that
his skin cleared about 80% (still holding there), and his "delusion,
persecuted" has been *MUCH* better. Sleep now is pretty fair--not
perfect, but a HUGE improvement. After the second dose there was more
marked change in his musical choices. I'm pleased to say that some of
what he's listening to now I actually enjoy (he still plays some of the
gut-busters too, tho), and he recently asked to go clothes shopping and
picked out some clothes that *aren't black*!!! Hoo--eee! Color me
happy.
So, now I have a new (I mean added) picture of Tuberculinum (dressed in
black; "death metal"-type music; monosyllabic answers; and chronically
bad attitude...
). And once again I note how much I tend to confuse (at least in this person) the pictures of Tuberculinum and
Medorrhinum: When he first needed Med (as a toddler), I mistakenly
gave Tub--which brought about a tremendous (gag) "clarification of the
picture", aka horrendous aggravation, as tho his VF were saying, "Not
*that* you idiot--I need *this* one!" (Med)
This time I gave Med first. No aggravation, but also not much effect. Weeks or months
later, when he started grabbing my arm and yelling gleefully, "Do you
give up?" I decided aw heck, let's give Tub a go...
And whew, that was the first thing to go away...
