Dear tanya:

As this year's election season enters its final two weeks, it's particularly critical that we make our voices heard, so that whoever is elected to Congress and the Presidency understands that a fix of our broken health care system should be at the top of their agenda in 2009!

On Wednesday, October 22nd, thousands of Americans will be calling their member of Congress and Senators to deliver the simple but powerful message that we need quality, affordable health care for all, not the complicated bureaucratic market run by private insurance companies that we have now. The effort is being coordinated by Health Care for America Now (HCAN), the largest campaign for health care for all in the nation.

National Call-In Day
for Quality, Affordable Health Care!

Wednesday, October 22, 2008
1-888-436-8427 (toll-free)
(You will be prompted to give your zip code and be provided with a short message to deliver to your member of Congress or Senator.)

Make Your First Call to Senator Hillary Clinton
(Except that 29th Congressional District residents should first call Congressman John R "Randy" Kuhl, Jr., and 20th C.D. residents should first call Congresswomen Kirsten Gillibrand)
(If you have time to make 3 calls, call Senators Clinton and Schumer and your member of Congress!)

Thanks for taking the time in this busy season to take a moment to speak up for universal health care. We encourage you to find out about other health care activities Citizen Action and HCAN are working on by clicking here .
