i ususally dont send out articles like this, but it was so outrageous
it is such a reflection of the assault on civil liberties and the kind
of prejudice that is being applied to anyone who is not while,
middle-class professional in appearance or focus.
as to whether people want to donate to these people's cause
is not my issue--just awareness as to what is going on in the
name of 'public safety.' i do believe this is what we might
all face from our supplement, 'strange foods,' and little blue
tubes of remedies.
i do think a public assault on the phones and e-mails of
legal representatives and newspapers is in order.

Re: beware your chocolate!
Seperate from the importance of civil liberties, in these worsening economic times, charging $20 for a bar of chocolate is the utmost outrage. Last night I purchased Hershey's unsweetened "natural" cocoa powder at Wal-Mart for $2.69. It doesn't have the cachet of fair-trade and organic nor associated haikus but will serve the same purpose. I wouldn't spend my money helping these self-absorbed protagonists so they can continue to sell their overpriced spiritually/holistically enhanced chocolate to the bohemian elite and wannabes seeking blissful enlightenment. It's just a shame they were not permitted into the USA to sell this chocolate at the Raw Foods Expo in Sedona, AZ. If you want to spend extra money on chocolate and also support socially conscious cacao causes, search on fair trade cocoa.
Why is this chocolate $20?
* Each ingredient is chosen form the best the earth has to offer:
* Heirloom, forest grown, organic family co-op produced beans.
* Real vanilla beans from Madagascar, pollinated by hummingbirds.
* Beautiful wild-harvested and organic herbs.
* Abundant in amazingly potent superfoods (maca, camu, seabuckthorn berries, hemp seeds).
* No “fillers” of milk, dairy, sugar or cocoa butter.
* Elegant artisan chocolate: each bar is crafted by hand.
