have it set to "Fully Featured" which really means fully messed up
with ads. You need to change to "Traditional" settings. Here's how:
[This may help a lot of people not wanting all those ads]
Go to the website for each discussion list to which you belong as it
is separate for each.
For Minutus:
Click on the Minutus site link under any Minutus email OR this link
here:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/minutus/
Click on members in the left column.
(Sign in if it asks you to do so)
Put your email address, or enough of it to be unique, in the "search
members" box and enter.
A page comes up listing you as a member. Find the link to click near
the center top of page that reads "Edit Membership"
Click that and then scroll down the page presented to find the
setting you need right at the bottom.
Click the button for "Traditional".
Your setting is likely "Fully Featured" at the moment. This is
Yahoo's way of duping you into accepting all the ads in your email.
Those are the "features".
Next click on "Save Changes" - do not forget this part.
It also helps to use plain text (not rich text or html) for
discussion list email in general - as then you get no ads (at least
no picture ads) - and you also get no viruses, as plain text can not
carry a virus.
With rich text or html you still get ads, but with "traditional"
setting they are at the end of the email,
out of the way, instead of on top or next to it.
