Good books on homeopathic psychology...

Post by Dana Ullman, MPH »

Friends,

There has been some good discussion on books on homeopathic psychology,
including Bailey's. I wanted to make certain that people knew about some of
the other high quality books that bring out important insights about the
"mental symptoms" of homeopathic medicines. I am providing links to each
book in case people want to learn more about a specific book (or to get a
copy)...

-- Peter Chappell's Emotional Healing with Homeopathy, Peter is one of the
founders of the Society of Homeopaths, and I consider this book to be his
best. He provides insight into the "trauma" behind each remedy...and trauma
is a great word that connotes both physical and psychological issues.

-- Didier Grandgeorge's Spirit of Homeopathic Medicines. Didier is a French
classical homeopath whose discussion of 300 (!) medicines sometimes
highlights an important psychological symptom and sometimes a key physical
one...but always with a special simple but critical insight about the
medicine. https://www.homeopathic.com/store/product=1168 (there is a GOOD
reason that this book has been translated into so many languages!)
-- Didier Grandgeorge's Homeopathic Medicines for the Stages of Life:
Infancy, Childhood, and Adulthood. This is a little-known but much
appreciated book that deals with development evolution and homeopathic
medicines for each stage in that process.

-- Liz Lalor's A Homeopathic Guide to Partnership and Compatibility. Rajan
Sankaran has not provided back-cover quotes for many books, but THIS book is
an exception! Although the title is a big hookey, this book is FULL of
insights about medicine. It also discusses 50+ characters in films and
their possible constitution (this info is both fun and practical).

-- Edward C. Whitmont's Psyche and Substance: Essays on Homeopathy in the
Light of Jungian Psychology. This book is a CLASSIC and an very important
(even brilliant) book! https://www.homeopathic.com/store/product=1103
-- Jane Cichetti's Dreams, Symbols, and Homeopathy: Archetypal Dimensions of
Healing. This is a great follow-up book to Whitmont's, and it includes some
fascinating insights into Tree and vine medicines, 7 alchemical metals, the
milk remedies, and the place of dreams in homeopathy and in healing.

-- Mati Fuller's Beyond the Veil of Delusions. This book is the newest book
to delve into this important subject, and in a short time, it has already
created a lot of buzz of appreciation.

And don't forget ALL of the excellent writings of Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman
and Robert Ullman (they are NOT related to me!). Their books on Ritalin
Free Kids, Rage Free Kids, Prozac Free, and Aspergers' Syndrome provide a
rich and detailed review of important characteristics of leading medicines
for each of these subject areas.
