strange insect bite?

i have a very strange eruption on my leg. when it began i thought it was poison ivy and/or
bug bites--tis the season and i am very susceptible to both.
all the eruptions disappeared without any notable problems, except for one. it became
enlarged (approx 3/4" long), raised more than a regular bite and very hard. a bit painful
to the touch, and somewhat reddened. after that it remained the same for about 2 weeks.
i was concerned since i had lyme several years ago that affected my nerves and resulted
in bell's palsy. so i applied a low level laser to it. this had the effect of minimizing the
eruption but also spreading it out both above and below the knee on the inside of the leg.
it is now almost a month and the eruption has finally dissipated, but the red area on the
leg has spread out about 3-4". and it is has been very sore to any pressure.
does this sound like a spider bite? or what else might this be? any help most appreciated.

Some years ago, tanya, we had a person from Sri Lanka who
advocated Arnica for almost every thing...wonder where he went?
Somewhat like him, I favour Calendula - when appropriate - for
almost any ailment within its sphere. And what you have related
certainly covers its sphere.
No harm - give it a go.
Try 200, and I hope it does wonders!

Hi Jeff,
Joe de Liveira (not sure of the spelling).

He was one of the posters who could not or would not take the constant
"that's not homeopathy" attacks from the purists and left the list
(that's what he said at the time)
