repertory help needed

Post by pose4shoot »

Hi,
I have been trying to find a symptom in my repertories without any joy.
My patient, a middle aged woman has total loss of pubic hair, underarm
hair and her eyebrows ... yet the hair on her head is unaffected and
her fine body hair on her arms and legs is also unaffected.

Some background...
She has a diagnosis of Scleroderma which I am still a little skeptical
about, but has granulating ulcers on the fingers of both hands, the
fingers of both hands are locked in a 'claw' like manner and she has
swelling and pains in her knees. (She is seeing orthodox medics for
this ongoing condition)

As this is quite a strange symptom I thought it should be significant,
but can't find any reference to it in Synthesis, Murphy, Kent etc

any help will be much appreciated, thanks Andy

From MacRep:
Female; FALLING out, hair (p, 14, 1-1): alum., bell., calc-f., hell., merc., nat-c., Nat-m., nit-ac., ph-ac., rhus-t., sel., sulph., thal., zinc.

RADAR lists Nat-m. for loss of pubic hair with leucorrhea. Also:
FACE - HAIR - falling of hair - Eyebrows
agar.;2;bg2 agar.;2;k ail.;1;k alum.;1;k anan.;2;k aur-m.;1;k bell.;2;bg2 borx.;1;bro1 caust.;2;bg2 hell.;1;bg2 hell.;1;k kali-c.;3;bg1 kali-c.;3;bg2 kali-c.;3;k kali-c.;3;mp1 kali-c.;3;mrr1 med.;1;mp1 merc.;1;bro1 mill.;1;k nit-ac.;2;bro1 par.;2;bg2 ph-ac.;1;k2 ph-ac.;1;mrr1 plb.;1;bg1 plb.;1;bg2 plb.;1;k plb-act.;1;bro1 sanic.;1;bro1 sel.;1;bg1 sel.;1;bg2 sel.;1;k sel.;1;mrr1 sil.;1;k sulph.;1;k
Nat-m. is not included in the above rubric, but I've cured this in one patient who lost her eyebrows.
Hope this helps.
Peace,
Dale

Dear Andy
FACE - HAIR - falling of hair - Eyebrows
FEMALE GENITALIA/SEX - HAIR falling out
GENERALS - HAIR - falling
EXTREMITIES - PAIN - Fingers - ulcerative
EXTREMITIES - BENDING - Fingers
EXTREMITIES - SWELLING - Knee
EXTREMITIES - PAIN - Knee
Look at Kali-c and Sulph!

Do we have anything triggering this?
Have you checked that she is not taking aspartame?

Regards

Soroush

Thanks Soroush and Dale for your quick replies.
I was considering Nat Mur so thanks for backing that up, and thanks
for the pointers to Kali-c and Sulph, it's always really helpful to
get another perspective (and another repertory) :) I'll do some more
digging and see if these remedies 'fit'.

In answer to your questions, I am not aware of anything triggering
this. I will revisit her orthodox prescription drugs for possible
side effects, and will quiz her is she is consuming large amounts of
Aspartame.

Some other relevant history (which hasn't been verified yet) is that
her Gall bladder 'disappeared' about 12 months ago. Apparently
it 'burst' and landed her in hospital.

She is also a very keen cat person ... breeds and owns lots of Cats.

Thanks Again
Andy

Skin, hair falls out, unusual parts, on - one remedy: Thuja
Thuja - top anti-sycotic (which seems like the active miasm).
