Hi. Remember me. The fellow got his mri back...no change. He has been on
regimen for two and a half weeks...no change mentally, emotionally, physically
..that he is aware of.

But i'd like to know what people think about Manganum. That remedy has relief
from sad music and according to sankaran...bitter feelings towards his
parents. This man who has been so difficult to get any
symptoms..modalities...etc...has two things that he is quite sure about. He
gets relief from sad music and he is very bitter about his now dead father and
his father's treatment of him and his mother as he was growing up.

Is this not enough?

Hi, Carol.

First, it generally takes months to see a response of a tumor to treatment
with remedies. So I wouldn't expect to see any change in a couple of weeks.

Since you've got a major pathology going on, the brain cancer, I would use
that as one of the core elements of the case.

How does he feel about having the tumor? Any fears, anger, etc..., or is he
really happy despite it (doesn't sound like it from these other two
descriptions, the sad music and the sense of bitterness.). Were you able to
find out anything about why he feels bitter about his father's treatment of
him? The other thing I'd try to identify is if there are any general
tendencies relative to temperature, time of day, periodicity, appetite,
thirst, perspiration, sleep, dreams, predominant side, sensations.... If
you could pull a couple of symptoms out of these questions, you'd be on much
firmer ground.

Would you still expect to see *some* sign, on the M/E level, within 4-6
weeks in a pt with brain cancer, or could even that take still longer?

Hi, Shannon.

I would expect that there might be some slight emotional or energetic
response to a correct remedy in that time period. A couple of things make
this hard to discern, however. For one thing, some cancer patients are
really out of touch with themselves and how they feel, and these people will
not be able to tell you anything. Whatever useful observations you get will
come from other loved ones. For another thing, as someone has said here
before, working with patients with brain tumors can be extremely difficult,
because often the tumor has disturbed their memory, their ability to
communicate, or their self-perceptions, or all three. So homeopathic
treatment can be an uphill process in this scenario, without an able and
well informed observer who is actually the person working with you.

I wish it were easier, but this is one of the most difficult scenarios in
which to work as a homeopath. Obviously tumor regression is one thing to
hope for ultimately, but as I said, this is usually a long term goal, not an
immediate one, and you probably have to use Dr. Ramakrishnan's protocol
using a remedy specifically targeting the brain and cancerous growths in it,
alternating with a nosode (most likely Tub in this kind of tumor....)--
because of the severe pathology, which takes over the case.
