Jealousy is inclined to be troubledby suspicions or fears of rivalry, unfaithfulness, etc. Envy is related to the word invidious: Calculated to createill will or resentment; Offensively or unfairly discriminating;hateful injurious. HATEFUL. Envy has a wrongful LONGING TO POSSESS something belonging to,attained, or achievd by another. IT can lead to, or has inherenthateful feelings or resentment because some else possesses or hasattained what one wishes for oneself. Two words very close in their meanings with shades of differences.

very simply stated, jealousy can be seen as desiring what someone else has and envy is the sense that you will never have it.
