Dear Shannon,
You didn't goof or mix up at all, you had simply asked a question. I have learned much from Minutus, but not all of it about homeopathy. I have learned a great deal from the likes of yourself, Souroush, Dr Tom Cotter and other lovely regulars, that the best way to discuss things, particularly where there is some controversy or disagreement, is to do so in a respectful, pleasant and gentle way. There is much more chance of sharing points of view, rather than the rabid attacks from people who don't Lyssin.
Your way is the way of the future, the success of homeopathy will be through those that can smile and say, 'Look, this is great, it can help you". They'll ask if and when they want more information.
This is how Dana Ullman successfully markets homeopathy, not by telling people how they are doing it all wrong, and how they have to conform to 'our' way of thinking if they want to have any hope in life.
A wise man once said to me, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar".
Has honey been made into a remedy? If so, what's it called?

Mel = Honey
Mel cum Sale = honey with salt
I cannot see any reference to a proving although Fyfe (I think) used it in 3 or 6C....that is all I found in Reference Works, certainly worth a real proving..........with the knowledge of which flower/plant was used by the bees, as it will certainly give different results.

Thanks Dr Joe,
That could give us a whole new range of remedies - 'the honeys', although it is a little tricky to know where the bees do go, there would be the dominant trees or plants in an area. And then there is pollen, and royal jelly ....
No lack of things to continue to be fascinated by!

Well you can test the honeys for their content; for example in NZ we use a lot of Manuka Honey with a known content of the Manuka oil in the honey, when the bees have been located in the proper area. This honey is the one now admitted in the US for burns treatment BTW.
Potentizing it would probaly give us a remedy with mixed properties of the Manuka tree (infections, a Pyrogenium, Baptisia, etc,....like remedy), Apis and Saccharum Album, plus its own intrinsic properties.

Manuka Honey is great honey to eat as well - my wife pick a bottle up a few weeks back - tastes something like our Canadian Buckwheat honey.

And "regular" honey is also great on wounds-I never tried it on a burn,
but for gaping or infected wounds (I've only used it on small ones) it
works great; draws out infection, and closes and heals the cut. I'm
willing to believe that Manuka is even better, but if all you have is
"regular", don't despair! (Anyone here done a direct comparison?)
