how to treat acutes?

Even in India, where probably practitioners have more experience in
treating acutes, still there are situations where the care of the
acute patient has to go to allopathic domain - since treatment is
not just giving medicine but also other supportive ancillary
management and care and only allopathic hospitals are equipped with
that...

I have had experience in dealing some really bad acutes ( including
infections) in practice and most of the time homeopathy worked some
wonders.
Not always- I have referred a lot of cases to hospitals - but there
are so many gratifying successes as well.

Viral infections ( and any infections for that matter) are the best
for us to prove Homeopathy's effectiveness-

Diagnosis and knowing what an infection is - is mostly useful for
judging prognosis and to learn of the history and likely path the
disease would follow, but only occsionally useful in prescribing.
We rarely ever find the disease mentioned in our repertories.
Looking back- most of my prescriptions for acutes/ infections were
made on some keynote , peculiar symptom or a striking keynote
generality- and only rarely on what the pathology teaches us - I am
not saying that we do not need it- just that since still our
reference works are more than 100 years old- any modern diagnosis is
only of modest help.

Most of the good prescribers I have seen, who can handle the acutes
with ease- have done and are doing so with key notes and red-line
symptoms - You cannot beat Guernsey and Lippe and Allen and Nash in
that - I guess...

A friend of mine - who I consider one of the best in acute
prescribing - not the acute emergency care variety- more like the
everyday acute kind- rarely ever prescribes outside of may be 50
remedies.

Even with all this deluge of new remedies- observing the "what is to
be cured" correctly and learning our polycrests thoroughly- will
help a lot in treating acutes.

HI all,

Curiously, I don't consider myself as an outstanding prescriber, just ordinary. But we (at ALF) tackle all kinds of acutes that come our way without a second's hesitation. Just part of the show. Lab diagnostics help a lot in their own way and of course we'll refer to allopath hospitals when needed.


I guess I can thank my "ignorance" in my early years that homeopaths "aren't allowed to treat" acutes, that enabled me to dive into this project Abha Light with relative aplomb.
