Well he mentions use of placebo in Aph 91 and 96 in relation to case taking and specifically mentions 'sugar of milk' in a placebo context in Aph 281 when talking about admin of medicines - so it's definitely in there! As for the debate Classical v Hahnemannian I leave that to you

If you mean where is Sac-lac in Dr. Hahnemann’s work, it is for sure in the Paris Casebooks (in as far as I have seen bits of them via Dr. Luc or Dr. Little) over and over, is it not? AFAIK, they are written in French and German, so not just anyone can read them, unfortunately. Teresa (Northern VA USA)

I should have remembered that...

According to Roger Morrison, Saccharum Lacticum was proven by Swan (11 provers) in 1888 showing it is not inert at all when potentized. It was proved again by Fink in 1890 and yet again by MacFarlan in 1893. See Organic and Hydrocarbon Remedies for homeopathic picture.
