I have a friend who is a Chiropractor, a truly kind, loving healer.
She has been battling high blood pressure for a year now. She
has tried many natural remedies, treatments and just as many
medications and test. The medications do not help at all, in fact they
make the kidney pain horrible. All the test have not shown a problem.
She is under alot of family stress, so the doctors tell her to just
lessen her stress level!
We discovered an interesting fact tonight. It is stated in my Essential
Oil book
that Pine can elevate B/P . She lives in a spacious 2 story PINE home.
She is very sensitive to all perfumes, cleaning supplies etc.
My question? Could there be a connection - and if so - is there something
that could negate the effects of Pine?
She has done some desensitization of other products - this treatment was
effective. But this is a HUGH daily assault!
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
I am in awe at the wisdom on this list!

Re: Question about Hypertension
Dear Gail,
You mentioned “medications do not help at all, in fact they make the kidney pain horrible.”
Just a thought , a pine/ pine oil derivative remedy with kidney symptoms might help. Kidney problems do give rise to high BP so there is a connection of sorts.
Pinus silvestris
- Common Name, Scotch pine.
It should be remembered when there is a sensation of violent boring, burning pains in the region of the kidneys that extend along the ureters.
Terebinthinae oleum
- It is obtained by distillation of crude turpentine from many species of pine.
- The urine is suppressed, there is pain in the renal region, with burning in the urethra, haematuria and tenesmus.
- This remedy is of service in cases of nephritis, cystitis and urethritis, with strangury, tenesmus and albuminuria, when blood is present in the urine and is thoroughly mixed with the urine, which is scanty and high colored. - The nephritis differs from that produced by Cantharis, in that the congestion is more pronounced than the desquamation, and as a result corresponds more to the effects of cold and exposure than that of scarlatina.
[BLACKWOOD A. L., A Manual of Materia Medica Therapeutics and Pharmacology (bwa3)]
Also for high BP you might consider a non-homeopathic ( maybe in future Mukta Vati is proved and potentised as many other Ayurvedic remedies have been proved in potency by CCRH in India) Mukta Vati. Some details are below.
