I'm new to the subject of Homeopathy and was wondering if anyone can
help. My son is mildly autistic (PDD/NOS) and we are seeing a DAN
doctor and did one round of chelation. Which proved that he is high
in lead (3 times higher then an average person). A friend turned me
to Homeopathy. My DAN doctor wants to do 5 rounds of chelation to
remove the lead but I'm scared because its hard to get the supplements
into my son and I'm afraid something will go wrong. And if I can get
rid of the lead safely, I'd rather do that. I have a homeopathy doctor
coming over this week to take input and I was wondering if anyone in
this group has every used homeopathy for autism?
Thanks for any input.

Re: New Here! looking to use homeopathy for Autistic Son
Hi Helly
Yes homeopathy can help, but be prepared to be patient. Most of my Autistic
patients seem to give up if they see no improvement after the first visit. I
suppose you cannot blame them when there are stupid doctors out there saying
that homeopathy does not work, and they are parting with hard earned cash.
One of my few long standing cases has had a bit of a breakthrough recently
after about 6 months of treatment.
I started him on Anarcardium (based on his symptoms) with little noticeable
affect. Changed to a homeopathic dose of the MMR vaccine (based on the fact
that MMR jab can cause autism, and 'muscle testing' against other vaccines and
indicated remedies-basicly he got stronger when that remedy was held near
him) As MMR as a homeopathic remedy is quite new, and usualy given in a routine
manner we do not have enough information on who it will or won't help yet IMO
to give purely on symptoms, unless the patint clearly got suddenly worse
after MMR jab.
After two months of this remedy his mother was unsure whether she could see
any improvement, but from her description of his behaviour, the aspects
indicating tuberculinum were becoming more prominent (in some ways his behaviour
was getting worse! but no problem, not for me anyway
, this was showing us
the remedy he now needed! ) Sure enough, he now tested stronger on
tuberculinum, After tuberculinum 30 his mother noticed an almost immediate change.
After three or four days he starts to get troublesome again so she repeats the
remedy as instructed, and sees him calm down in front of her eyes. The school
has noticed a difference, he is hapier calmer listening more and getting in a
lot less fights. Eventualy I would expect him to need his remedies less
frequently(possibly with a change of potency of the same remedy, or we may have
to change remedy again at some stage)
Interestingly I did muscle test him for tuberculinum when I gave him
Anarcardium, but it did not test positive then. It seemed to need the other
remedies first to make it work. Strange thing this homeopathy.
These remedies would not work for other Autistic kids. the remedies need to
be picked individualy.
Good luck.
