Many thanks to all those that have replied so far. I was thinking in
terms of someone who was born as a Sepia rather than someone who needed
it for a period of their life.

Sepia, would add love of dancing, better for exercise,worn out
with duty and desire to lie down and be left alone,?tears run
silently down face,forget where that came from, liking for vinegar
and pickles, think also of cuttle fish going backwards and emitting
black ink. I imagine if picture was strong in mother the child might
need it but best given via mother.. A big remedy for post natal

Sepia is a fascinating creature.
I am struggling with a sepia case who keeps leaving her loved ones when she
is in state of indifference to them. She didn't say that, but when I saw
this string of broken relationships I inquired as to her state of mind. She
said they didn't interest her any more. There was no future (her sister,
father, boyfriend of 6 years). She has a hard time establishing long term
relationships even though she wants them. Others find her very abrasive.
When others who are forced by a job or living situation to be too intimate
to her, she thinks of them as "the enemy." Like an animal she is quite
competitive in these intimate relationships. She prides herself in her
ability to struggle against severe odds and purposely puts herself in
difficult situations. When you see her relaxing, she is trying to find
security by hiding from her social enemies. I have not given this case
sepia yet, but I am pretty sure it is right. Very few physicals for this
case which makes it difficult. She has a hereditary disease that causes her
muscles to shorten so her entire body is slowly curving inward. I don't
know if this fits the picture. I am trying to find out more physical
details of a migraine headache. Not an easy patient because she is not easy
to relate to and not very cooperative.
Another case, she says really mean things that are not part of her normal
very sympathetic character. When I asked her about it, she said she is
saying it more to herself than the person who she is addressing. For
example, her best friend's husband's head was cut off in a traffic accident
and her friend was terribly maimed. After spending weeks helping her friend
in the most selfless way, the patient told her friend " just get used to it,
everyone has to die." Of course she was grieving, and that's the sort of
thing she tells herself. Again this patient is a valiant warrior woman.
She will literally give her friends the shirt off her back. Cuddling with
her husband, loving words are all difficult. She doesn't have time. She's
an efficiency expert. A female nux-v. Sharp irony is more her style. Many
irregularities in the female hormone areas. Again this is a very healthy
vigorous patient with very few physicals. She has the brown sandal over the
nose(skin discolorations). Sepia has given her some softness but she is in
her most healthy state a wound up ball of energy and will probably never
become really cuddly. Currently she is organizing the Democrats in her
district. The Republicans don't have a chance.
Both of these people are extremely caring loving and perceptive people. So
it was hard for me to see this side of them.
