This might be your your live real-time quest for the day.
Sorry to do this to you, but I need the help of all my Minutus
colleagues.
My dear wife, 40, is suffering from serious mouth ulcers. It all
started in her through as an ordinary throat infection. Her
tonsils had been removed when she was still a little girl. She
has difficulty in swallowing and talking. (She loves talking,
because she also does part time radio announcing.)
She also has an duodenal ulcer which causes her discomfort
and pain. I gave her Lycopodium powder which she takes on
a bit of milk three times a day before meals. This relieves the
pain temporarily.
A friend of mine (a Homoeopath) also diagnosed pleurisy.
She had a bad one the past winter. (We live in South Africa -
this is Summer time here). She experienced a kind of
pressure on her sternum. At one stage I though she was
allergic to our cats (3) and the dog. My friend, the Hom.also
talks about her starting an asmatic condition, for which he
prescribed Spongia.
My wife went through quite a lot of stress lately as she had to
work many hours with little rest and relaxation. We also have
a view friend who are going through tough times in their
business. We try to encourage them and stand with them.
My wife, Jeannette, and I have two beautiful daughters: 8 and
11.
We are a happy family and love each other dearly. Jeannette
is not a sick person. She becomes irritated with illness, she
is almost avertive to it.
I you would like to hear more about her, I would gladly let you
know. I believe that the only way for her to get over these dis-
eases, is through a one right remedy in the Classical
Homoeopathical way.
She finds it difficult to sleep well because of the pain.
Help Please! I'm desperate.
Thanking you.
Anton

Re: PLEASE HELP!!
Anton,
We need to know more details,
What is the nature of the pains? are there any peculiar signs?
Is she hot or cold?
What means the sickness to your wife?
What is the limitation she experiences, and how does she react to it and
her surroundings?
You already mentioned her irritability with her illness, can you give her
own words (emotions) please?
regards, Piet

Re: PLEASE HELP!!
Hi Anton,
Both the lycopodium and spongia tosta remedies can produce blisters or
vesicles in the mouth and tongue--so I think there is a possibility your
wife could be "proving" one of the two remedies she's been given. In any
case, antidoting these symptoms or treating for the pain she's got amounts
to the same thing at this point.
One remedy which comes to mind in this case:
argentum nitricum
It has the canker sores in the mouth, the ulcer and pain in the abdomen, the
respiratory symptoms you describe and a dread of serious illness. It's not
unusual for people who need this remedy to be "silver tongued", either;
which fits her interesting work as a radio announcer.
There is not enough to prescribe properly, but I do hope participants on the
mailing list will comment and suggest other appropriate remedies based on
the information you continue to provide. The best thing would be for her to
see a classical homeopath in person, but I do know there is a difficulty
finding practitioners in some countries. I've tried to help others locate
classical prescribers in SA before, and it was next to impossible to do
this! So I do hope you find the help you seek out here.
All the best,

Anton,
We need to know more details,
What is the nature of the pains? are there any peculiar signs?
The pain and fatigue comes and goes.
I have given her some Arg. Nit. And she said she felt better. Then she
stopped because she had to work again. Not she feels lousy again.
Is she hot or cold?
Whenever she feels bad, she gets a heavy, pulsating headache, and she
becomes cold.
She loves to spend hours in a hot bath, with she believes relieves the
pain and lousiness.
What means the sickness to your wife?
She sickness makes her quiet and she keeps to herself. She lives to the
inside. Whenever she is forced by circumstances to reach out to people,
she has to almost put up an “act” to break through the barrier.
Jeannette is an extrovert in her natural personality. She is a natural
people`s person. She also does part-time real estate selling. And she is
very successful, thorough and most loved by all her clients.
Not being well at this stage, puts extra pressure on her, because it takes
much more out of her.
She has been through a lot of stress lately: She was informed that her
radio contract was not to be reneved; during that time she was informed
that her dearest brother (who brought her up as a child) was diagnosed
with colon cancer; then she heard again that the radio station had
decided to re-instate her radio contract for next year. Her broadcasting is
her big passion in life.
Jeannette is a great mother and wife. She is strong (a pillar in her home)
and love to reach out to people. She has a heart for charity and does a
lot of community work among the less priviledged and the HIV/AIDS
people in out community.
She drives herself in her real estate commitments and would never
disappoint a client.
This sickness places a damper on her spontenaety as person; something
she hates.
Whenever she feels like this, she curls up on the bed and cuts herself off
from her surroundings. She becomes weak and weeps easily. She is
also very irritated then.
What is the limitation she experiences, and how does she react to it and
her surroundings?
You already mentioned her irritability with her illness, can you give her
own words (emotions) please?
Whenever I ask her whether she is OK, she would just answer “Neither
here, not there” … meaning she does not realy want me to know the
exact nature of her condition, but she does not feel well.
She started to complain about pain in her kidneys earlier tonight.
Her face seems old to me, when she is in pain. Her usually bright yellow
eyes, are brownish and collapsed.
She keeps on rubbing with the palm of her right hand over her diaphragm
right beneath her sternum, while she lifts up her chest almost like
someone who struggles to get breath. When she does that, I can see
that she bites on her teeth, clench her yaw and narrow her eyes.
I would gladly answer more direct questions as I am not that informed
with Homoeopathic terminology yet.
Thanks for your trouble, everyone.
Kind regards.
Anton.
