Hi Donna,
I basically agree with you, and am a big "fan" and person user (at
times) of vitamins, but there is this quibble... When vitamins are
made synthetically, and even when "natural" vitamins are isolated from
their co-factors and recombined in highly concentrated amounts and/or
unnatural proportions (e.g. 50 mg of "everything", gag), they most
definitely can cause more problems than they are solving. If you take
large amounts of certain nutrients but are not taking a proper balance
of co-factors, you can create "artificial deficiency" of those
co-factors--I'm sure you're familiar with that issue, but some might
not be. So it can be important to know *why* you are taking the
vitamins, and have some way to check that you're taking an
appropriately balanced mix.
My other quibble is from my own experience that, generally speaking,
when I have been "on a good remedy", I generally haven't needed any
other herbs or vitamins at all. I assume this too is an individual
thing, and partly reflects the fact that my diet is quite unusually
good for an American's.

But--the vitamins that I do take, I
know what I am expecting them to do; but in my experience this is not
necessarily the case, and that's a shame, IMO!
Best wishes,
Shannon
