Very Amateur Question

Post by Lisa F. »

Hi all,

I have a question that I know is probably amateurish. Anyway, I have a
niece who likes to be clean. Always washes her hands, this morning she had
syrup in her hair so she took a shower. I find this really unusual, but I'm
sort of on the opposite end of the spectrum where things don't have to be so
clean for me. Anyway, it doesn't affect her negatively as in healthwise or
anything, so is this considered a unhealthy thing? Like mental or
something? She really isn't unhealthy or doesn't show the symptoms of
anything else. The only other thing is she eats a lot of pasta which is her
favorite and not much in the vege/meat dept. I just find it interesting
that she seems healthy but I actually wondering if there isn't a deeper
problem because of these unusual symptoms. Also, my sister tries not to use
any allopathic healing methods, so would her system eventually right itself
(if there really is a problem) or would Homeopathy have to be used? Thanks
for taking the time to read.

Lisa

Hi
The symptoms here with denotes OCD ( Obsessive compulsive Disorder).
though, washing hands etc are a bit normal thing but if it exceeds certain limit & becomes a habit or compulsion than it should be treated as any other nervous disorder.
no need to panic or worry though, it can be transient also.
But if its associated with some other associated factors like mood alternance, behavioural disorders etc. than it should be treated.
Just a word of caution, many allopathic doctors give tranquillisers & sedatives for such disorders, avoid them, they can cause much harm.
regarding Homoeopathy, there r very good results for such kind of disorders.
But homoeopathy cures patient as a whole & not any particular disease.
So, a complete case-taking is must for selection of a constitutional remedy.
You can see the complete case taking form at my website
www.drbidani.multiservers.com
( E-consultation page)
Due to some technical errors, the direct submit button is not working there. So, u'll have to fill that form & copy-paste it & send it via mail to the e-mail id given their or even to this one.
After analysing & repertorising the entire case we can come to any conclusion & thereby final prescription.
regards,

Hi Lisa,

Given that she could have reasons that aren't obvious to you, it's hard
to say from your description whether her cleanliness behaviors are
signs of a problem. It does sound a bit extreme...

If she is being raised in a healthy way--and no allopathic meds is a
great start!--then she certainly has an advantage over some other
folks, but in itself that can't tell us much; actually I guess one
can't say much on strength of what you've said... You don't give her
age, but I gather she is young--teens, perhaps? Many problems and
weaknesses don't begin to show up, or don't become a problem, until
later in life. Would her system "right itself"? That depends... If
the problem (if any) is caused by emotional, environmental, or
lifestyle factors, then yes it might--if she is able to improve those
areas sufficiently. But if the cause is a significant chronic disease,
then it would continue to worsen over the years--slowly or quickly,
depending on various factors.

If she truly does have "issues" around cleanliness, contagion, etc.,
then that would be a sign of a deeper imbalance or weakness; but what
happens from there, would depend upon so many things... I guess this
wasn't much of an answer!
