software comparison

Post by yerewan »

hi

i'd have q for a friend who's between alternatives choosing a rep programme .
what experience have you got with MacRep, Mercurius (Universale 5.o) softwares?
or some others?
how do they differ from radar?
any major plusses or minuses for any of them or do they just equal to one's convenience?
tia, will

Given the costs involved, very few people have experience with more
than one program! I do know one person who has both MacRep and RADAR
(if he's on the list, perhaps he'll chime in), and his assessment when
i asked a year or so back, was that it would be ideal to have BOTH,
since they each have things which one does better than the other.
(Hah, maybe after I win the lottery...)

I have heard that MacRep is more "intuitive", easier to dummy your way
thru, but they both offer good training materials. I would say your
friend should just contact each of the companies he's interested in,
get their advertising material, and compare. Some may have demos to
start with? Cost may be a factor, and also need to consider how much
material you feel a *need* for--for some people 20 repertories would be
better than two, but for others even two would be overkill...

Have a look at ISIS www.miccant.com as I use this one and it is very
intuitive. There is also a Wizard that helps beginners through it.
Your friend needs to get the trial CD's from all of them and try them out to
see which s/he finds easiest as it is personal choice a lot of the time.
