Thank You for that information. I've read it before but it always
helps to reinforce. I was able to collect my thoughts regarding my
Silicea patient.
I gave him the 12C on the 27th Of February.....
His progress is slowwwwwww now.
Pain in feet is still intense enough where he can't walk
I know we DO NOT REPEAT A REMEDY WHEN THERE IS STRIKINGLY APPARENT
AMELIORATION butttttt
his progress is slow going now. Mentally he still feels great it's
just his physical body is slow going to improvement. He says it's
almost at a stand still.
Feb 27th 12C, 3 days later mentally clear.
March 8th sinus infection
March 9th Left Hip Pain intense
March 10th passed Kidney Stones and Urine dark in color
March 12th urine clear, no more stones
Marcy 14th Left Foot Arthritic, painful, swollen
Pain in hip reduced
Left Knee painful also
March 15th sinus better, mentals good, hip better
March 18th Right foot beginning to have pain and swelling.
March 20th feet still the same, urine returning to dark color, mentally
still sharp, knee the same.
He says his feet and lft knee are just staying the same.
swollen, pain intense where he can't walk.
Is he standing still?
Urine is returning to being dark in color.
Should I give him a 6C in 4 oz of water, 12C in 4 oz of water?
Any suggestions?Please
thanks,
Emily

Doesn't sound to me as if he's continuing to experience a "strikingly
apparent amelioration." Hitting the happy medium is one of the interesting
challenges, isn't it?

Well, this sounds to me like *exactly* the sort of situation that
Hahnemann recommended water dosing for! And re-succussing before each
dose. I think if I were in your place I would have him try 6c water
dose, just one, and see what happens. If that didn't work well enough
I would not hesitate to try 12 again, but in water. (I would also not
hesitate to give another dry dose, but this does seem like a situation
where water dose and re-succuss could be better.)
I look forward to reading what others would do!

Re: Repeated high Potencies/Silicea Patient
The more I think about it and talk about it, I get some answers from
myself...ya know?
When he had the sinus flare up, it improved
His Hip, it improved
His hand was the very start of it all and it improved
His feet are not improving.
The reason I'm asking everyone to give me input is because I know that
Silica should not be repeated frequently.
It's 21 days since he took it.
That's a long time I think to go on a 12C.
Now there's no improvement but is it working or not?? Now his urine is
starting to get Gold again.
gawd this kind of challenge I don't want.
I'm very excited tho about his mental state.
He said he's been depressed for years, fog brained, can't read, can't
think, everything mentally is an effort for him but that has greatly
improved. That spark from Silicea!
I think I'll use Shannon and Sheri's advice with the water potencies.
We'll do that today unless someone has other ideas.
Thanks everyone so much for your input.

Shannon and Sheri's advice on water potencies was right on. It sounds as if
it's time for the next dose, and in water would give you the advantage of
being able to succuss a couple of times to change the potency slightly. It
also sounds as if this remedy is working deeply according to the "Direction
of cure" -- from inside out, from above to below, from more recent back in
time. I find it helps to share this information with the client, so they
can rejoice at the improvements rather than focusing on the things yet to
improve.
I've seen 12c, especially in water, work for months with a single dose --
when it's the right potency and remedy for the person's state at that
moment. But 21 days with the right direction of cure is definitely a good
result from a remedy, and repetition is warranted when the improvement slows
to a halt.
