food sensitivities

Post by Kerry »

Greetings, all. I'm new to the group and I've been reading and reading ...
and reading the dialogue going on here and can say I'm learning new ways of
thinking and seeing new pictures. With that I'll get onto my question.

I have sensitivities to wheat, corn, dairy (pasturized, not sure about raw),
and various foods that I've eaten way to much, like apples and carrots,
raisins, zucchini, and pecans.

I am nursing my baby and he also gets congested when I eat corn and wheat.
It is very hard to avoid these substances, but I can do a pretty good job of
it, especially when we don't go out to eat.

From your experiences, do food allergies diminish or never come back after
using constitutional remedy? I've been taking LM potency Thuja (which
I know supports gastro-intestinal) I would really like to have some more
information on this, if anyone could point me to some information.

Homeopathy is new to me, and from my readings, I think I've already come up
with my answer to my question, but I would really like to see other
responses.

Hi K,
You have to get your whole case taken by a homeopath. I am only a student, but I have seen food sensitivities go way down with the correct remedy. Also, in the process of getting rid of the food sensitivities, it does not help to irritate the system by eating what you are trying to desensitize yourself to. You have to try to stay off the irritants and gradually introduce them after you see that your whole system is behaving better.

By the way, I can't select a remedy for myself very well because I am not objective about myself. So just Thuja for some particular problem is not probably a wholistic selection.
Blessings,
Ellen

Hi, Ellen.

I agree. I've seen the same thing -- food sensitivities getting
dramatically better with the correct remedy. However, I've also seen them
rise up again under unusual later stress (e.g. dental work).

Hi, and thanks to all for your responses. I tried to be as clear as I
could, with the disadvantage that I can't respond right away.

I figured that the answer was "that depends" for an answer on food
sensitivities. I've been pondering this for some time.

On another note, I want to clarify that I am not taking Thuja for the food
sensitivities, but as the homeopathist I see took my case and recommended it
constitutionally.

As I read more, I gain more in understanding, thanks to all for being
"vocal."
