Hi Shannon.... She put some kind of magnesium product in her bath water. Apparently she put too much or shouldn't have used the product at all due to other health issues. I don't really know any details because she can't even talk on the phone to tell me, and she can't type either... which she really couldn't do much of before this happened.

I'm going to juice it and culture the veggies vs pills/sprays/etc. When we get down to the supplements... how many do you see with non-GMO labels? I am a FOOD AS MEDICINE person, but then the argument is always.... oh, our soil is depleted; the growing practices are not certain when you don't grow your own food; they get heated when going through the manufacturing process, etc.! But I still believe that the live enzymes and, probiotics in the case of culturing, always TRUMP the supplements. I'm convinced that urban agriculture is really changing things, but it's too slow of course.

Did you see the MAUI ban on GMO growing! Hooray... of course they have to go to court now and win.

If you can buy locally you can talk with the farmers about their growing practices. Most will tell you if you ask with an open
attitude.

Of course buying organic will give you better product and without the chemicals and GMOs

Yes, Hawaii was great. Monsanto tried to stop a moratorium I think last year and lost in Hawaii. There were a couple of islands
involved with that chapter in the battle.

Yes. Sounds like the same thing Tanya... OMG, sometimes I think I'm going to die with those things. I had one Yesterday morning in the left leg. Let's see what the group has to say, maybe we'll figure out what to do to stop them. :-)

I do a good job of being sugar free as long as I keep up the extreme aged vinegar/edible flower ferments w/my food, but I'll watch and see if there is a connection. I accidentally took the WRONG homeopathic remedy that was prescribed to my dog! I need to see if I experienced the pains more or less at that time. Six doses of that stuff created very strange problems for me. Once I realized what I'd done (after 6 doses of nux vomica) I had to restart my remedy and up the vinegar treatment because I was experiencing cravings again. It's back to normal now. Well, I should say "The New Norm" for me anyway.
Yep. Me too. I asked Dr. Joe. He said to continue with the ferments (culturing raw coconut water is a good thing) but add raw juicing of potassium and magnesium rich food. And then we have the killer stress... mine is sometimes much more than I can handle, but I keep going! We can support each necessary. I'm here.

I'm exhausted right now.... sweet dreams!

I used 7 sprays over the day yesterday which was obviously too much according to my much looser stool . I will cut down to 6 today and maybe spread them out 2 sprays x 3 times during the day. It just shows that the Magnesium oxide tablets I was taking didn’t do much!!

Dear Rochelle,

Older person = magnesium supplementation. It is as simple as that. Magnesium is involved with so many reactions (325 and counting) that it would be a little difficult to know exactly what to expect, except that improvements of some sort are almost guaranteed.
Not necessarily Roger. My friend overdid it w/magnesium in the bath water. She almost died and was in the hospital for 15 days. She has been home for probably 2 weeks and is not about to do anything.
I think her case is of the E X T R E M E. However, I mention it becasue it happened to my very dear friend.
Also, as an update to the conversation yesterday about my potassium and magnesium. He told me culturing the raw coconut water was okay, but that he prefers that i juice the fresh vegetables. So I will drink my DELICIOUS cultured raw coconut water and I'm developing a kind of "common sense" plan and a grocery shopping list.
Thanks all for the great discussion. I'll be writing a homeopathy question later tonight. I hope you will be able to help my friend.

I am not doing it for pain but as a supplement for an older person who has Type 2 inherited diabetes controlled on a low carb/low GI diet and exercise. However what I saw this morning – a lower blood sugar reading than usual- makes me wonder if this was caused by the magnesium oil!! I used 6 sprays altogether yesterday.

If you have pain, and have not noticed a great decrease from spraying with magnesium oil, then either you did not use enough, or you are not magnesium deficient. Not being magnesium deficient is highly unlikely if you are an older person. I would trying 10 sprays and rub it around and see what happens. Don't be afraid of experiment. If you do what I do with making your own, it will be so inexpensive that using too much won't be an issue.

My Magnesium oil arrived to day just in time as I finished my last tablet yesterday. I used 3 sprays after my shower and no tingle so I take it I am not depleted in it ? Question is what would make me want to do more sprays?

I get horrific cramps in the legs. With me they are usually at night when I stretch out and begin to relax or in the

middle of the night and they wake me. They can be in the calves, arches, ankles, shins and prevent the leg parts

from even moving. I find my calc/mag supplement takes care of them quickly. They are aggravated/brought on

when I have chocolate which is known to block calcium. Sometimes they seem related to sugar as in the dried

fruit I had yesterday and then had leg cramping while asleep.

There is a woman named JJ Virgin who promotes a diet with lots of ferments and, of course, getting off sugar.

I have recently begun to ferment veggies and make my own kombucha. And when I eat a lot of veggies, especially
raw salads, and have the fermented foods the cravings diminish greatly.

Something I read recently that interested me is how gut bacteria have their own cravings which translate into what
we feel consciously. So if we feed the gut bacteria ferments and veggies those are the bacteria that develop and
put out a craving for more. When we feed our gut sugar and junk, it is different bacteria that develop more and
cause cravings for those products.

For me this was exciting info as it was the first time there was some info that explained how cravings might be
working and how we can gain a handle on them reasonably. A Julia Roth (Ross?) wrote a book on Diet Cure
which is based on amino acid supplementation, etc. I found, using her formula, that L-glutamine might be a good
supplement for me. It did help but not over a long period of time and was costly and meant taking more pills daily
which my body has rebelled at doing.

And yes we can and should support each other.
