No, if you continued for months and months, yes -
The problem is not so much you will give an inappropriate remedy, yes that can happen, but it is more in being able to see and keep the entire picture in mind, knowing when to repeat, when to re- dose and when to give the next remedy.

Think about making a cake and right in the middle of it, the person doing it says now what? And walks off the job. - what was done? In what sequence, what still needs doing and by the way what kind of cake were you making?

Because arnica is so useful, we can forget about case management and the whole picture. There is so much more to being a homeopath than handing out remedies and watching symptoms disappear.

Keep the totality in mind.

Warmly, Maria

There are various herbal antiinflammatories, that can be really helpful without (so far as I know) any drawbacks.

One that's worked great for me and mine is Zyflamend, by New Chapter.

Turmeric herb also gets wonderful write-ups for many things, including anti-inflammatory. (Esp. in combination with a bit of pepper, and we read here, esp. when prepared in oil???)

Everything that helps her overall health, will help her healing. A good diet -- avoid inflammatory and useless foods, e.g. refined anything; eat plenty of veggies! and adequate fruits, beans, protein, eggs, all that. All of that will help.

Vitamin C is important for healing; lemon water is wonderful (with honey or maple syrup to taste if needed), esp. warm in the morning as a liver tonic.

I could go on… :-)

Shannon! Good morning Denver time... I'm cleaning up my house and ran across a brochure from New Chapter that I've had for a while and never read. I was surprised to discover their FERMENTATION process! The name of the little booklet is Cultured for YOUR Benefit... Gentle enough to take on an empty stomach! Now we know why their supplements are so expensive.

Page 4 starts with "Nutrition Cultured for Your Benefit".... and on pg. 5 they start telling the story of their fermentation process, much to my surprise! Since I'm a do it yourself because it's better, it seems that they have offered the information so I can attempt to culture my own supplements! Very interesting.
Roger uses a wider variety of spices than I do. I also make mine into an organic RAW and fresh nut butter that is my version of an Indian chutney. Of course, it's got a long fermentation process! I leave it fermenting under a pyramid and then give it a few hours in the Colorado sun leave for a short solar ferment just to ensure that the healing goodies are truly fermented and distributed throughout the jar.

Roger is the guru on this topic, but I add my style to it because it's part of my food as medicine portfolio for obese people who have failed at weight loss and struggle with inflammation like I do. Even after getting closer and closer to my ideal weight for the first time in my life inflammation is still a problem. Sometimes personal experience is valuable to others...
YEP...
I discovered COCONUT VINEGAR 2 days ago. I have a recipe and now have to start searching for big volumes of organic coconut waterI to test it on. It is said that that the coconut vinegar has more healing properties than ACV. It's another fun summer project.
Yes... me too. I have already said more than I intended to say.

Enjoy your day.
Vicki

Any anti-inflammatory tea will help. I am very partial to hibiscus and knotweed. Knotweed because it is so powerful, and hibiscus because it is so tasty and powerful. A health promoting thing about tasting good is that the person drinking it will drink a lot. And drinking a lot of water is anti-inflammatory.

I like teas because they are easy to make, can be very inexpensive, and the goodies are much, much more absorbable. I buy bulk and brew big and put it in large jars with spouts. So my wife and and I can walk by and take a drink without a lot of hassle anytime that that we want. Even my son likes the hibiscus, and he is not all that concerned about health other than by our constant encouragement.

Magnesium is anti-inflammatory. I am partial to magnesium taurate.

Many essential oils are anti-inflammatory. Clove comes to mind and it is cheaper than most. But be very careful not to take too much. Start with one drop per quart of tea and see how that goes.

This guy taught me to not boil the tea: http://nutritionfacts.org/ . He has a lot of good ideas about teas and everything else nutritional. He is also an agenda driven vegan, so if you are not a vegan, be aware.

Turmeric is very anti-inflammatory. It is best eaten while dissolved in oil.

I hope that this helps.

The only guru-hood that I will accept is philosophy, and no one is interested in that. Little do they know that it helps greatly with the clarification of one's thinking.

Sometimes I am doing so many things that I get overwhelmed and forget things. Like I forgot to take my "spicy oil" this morning.
