By the way, I forgot to mention in my last response that this open mindedness of being one of Jehovah's witnesses was an impelling support for me when I chose to enroll as a student at BIH two years ago..

Shannon,
When a living animal/human dies from viral-induced infection, how long is the corpse able to infect someone else, like someone doing an autopsy, someone in the funeral parlor prepping the body, a bereaved relative who may hold onto the body before calling the coroner, someone who may want to pull gold from the mouth, an owner burying their animal, an owner who wants to keep the animal and have it stuffed?

My statement was specific and needed no correction - it was never a
generalization about all Jehovah Witnesses, just about those in SA at
the time (mid-60s)
The entire church and legal system there was involved then and that
WAS the take on it THERE and THEN.

Not to worry any longer, the South African government will step in to ensure no child suffers a needless death:

SA Human Rights Commission chairperson Jody Kollapen said that in such cases, the right to life took precedence over the right to religion.

Does this mean Jehovah's Witnesses aren't interested in or don't support solely practicing purely classical homeopathy? What is it about BIH that attracts those who can't focus on one healing discipline? Maybe I should start a new religion, Hahnemann's Witnesses. Who wants to join me?

Who is worrying (besides you)?
She died in 1961, it's a bit late for the judgement of the court in
Feb 2009 to be useful in the case I posted Susan:-)
Nor do I see it as an easy issue:
I do no agree with the Jehovah Witness stance to deny help to a child
who WANTS it as in the fatal case I presented from 1961.
But nor do I agree with the government's decision to FORCE treatment
on a Jehovah Witness (or anyone) who does NOT want it now in 2009.
So in my opinion it was wrong in 1961 and it is still wrong in 2009.

Irene
