He's definitely from Earth, he's not a Vegan!

"Individualization"!
I've found the "Eat Right for your Blood Type" book very
interesting--altho I realize, and he acknowledges, that it is not "the
whole story"; still, it makes the (to me) interesting and reasonable
observation that different people have different physiological
make-ups, and therefore different nutritional needs. Some of us do
great as veggies; others of us (e.g. myself) never would (I tried!!).

Imagine an Eskimo as a vegetarian?
Now imagine a Pacific Islander living in the Arctic on an all-meat diet?

Follow observation, not theories, and--
Individualize, my children...
:-))

Hi Simon,

Is Vegan not the word for those Veggies who eat no animal protein at
all? If I mixed it up - well, old age creeping along excuses
everything:-)

I still would like an answer - does he eat mild products and eggs?

Regards

Luise

My Friend in question is Blood type 'O', supposed to gobble up lots of meat are they not?

As you say - Individualisation!

(just to reiterate my original response was in regard to that post stating that no one could be healthy on a veggie diet)

As I said he is not Vegan... (in fact I said he is a 'Veggie') , but I apologise as may have mixed it up with 'Vogon', which if I remember correctly was one of the species that originally wanted to drive a hyperspace freeway through where Earth is, (er.. was..er....won't be.. ?) in 'Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy'.

'Vegan' as you rightly point out be a person whom not eat any creature comforts will, whereas a 'Veggie' ( short for 'vegatarian', not that he is, short, for a vegetarian, I mean..) means someone whom wot doesn't eat meat of any type of it, oh no, cooked or otherwise, 'Mild' products ( as you ask) he will eat, but prefers not so mild as in hot curry and the like. If you meant 'Milk' then yes I have seen him imbibe juice of the cow on more than one occasion.

Eggs I don't know- I will aks him, innit?

ps I aksed im and 'e sez ( and I quote) 'e "eats more cheese than a honey monster eats honey", but eggs gave him up a long time ago as did meat and nowadays he rarely drinks milk, very little indeed, perhaps just in coffee.

So there ye go, a truly healthy 'at the pinnacle of his health' honey monster! .. I mean vegetarian ;-)

carry on!

;-)

climate has so much to with diet too.
a few yrs ago i met a woman who was stationed in alaska--brrrrr!
she said they were told to eat 8000 calories daily to deal with the
frigid weather. and this was not a big woman. the body just
burned to many calories just to keep from freezing. well, the
eskimos are not big people either. so nature provides the
well-blubbered animals that provide for the human and animal
survival inthat climate. the tropics are just the opposite--no!

Ginny Wilken, one thing you might find interesting is to Google
vegetarian marathon runners or vegetarian athletes. There are many
extremely vital and healthy vegetarians I assure you. Whether that is
because of or in spite of their diets is another matter of course. We
are going WAY off the intended use of this forum but I find it kind of
ironic that most of the people who are so concerned about doing the
right thing for animals (diet, good homeopathy etc) are themselves
causing so much suffering by neccesitating the slaughter of sentient
beings in order to nourish themselves or satisfy their palate.......

And it is equally ignorant (and cruel) and disrespectful of the way we

is it wise, respectful and compassionate to eat chickens, cows and sheep?
