Homeopathy: Beyond Flat Earth Medicine by Timothy Dooley, ND, MD
Hi everyone
I have been intrigued by homeopathy, taking a few introductory courses and lurking here, for several months. Most of my children are under the care of a classical homeopath and we've been seeing amazing results. People are starting to ask me about it for their own children, and I've been explaining a little bit and giving them a link to read the first edition of "Beyond Flat Earth Medicine" for free. It's downloadable here:

I gave him Hyland's Colic remedy, actually, because of the Dioscorea in it
(I didn't, at that point, know how to order individual remedies!), which I
thought matched his symptoms--one particular aspect of his "terrors" was
arching backwards, which is a keynote of Dioscorea. If your daughter doesn't
have that symptom, that remedy probably wouldn't work.

Homeopathy is all about *symptoms*--a disease may have one name, but the way
that disease manifests in various people can be very different. So in
homeopathy, we focus on the symptoms the person has, not the name of their
"disease."

The very first book on homeopathy that I read was _Classical Homeopathy_ by
Margery Blackie. If you are able to get this book from the library (perhaps
through interlibrary loan), I would recommend it as a good introduction.
