Hello all
Hello all
Heelo
I am a new member and a 1st year student at the London School of Classical Homeopathy.
It is fascinating reading all of your e mails and getting of taste of a life (hopefully) to come.
Nothing much to contribute at the moment but perhpas you can help.......
i am doing a presentation next month of hay fever remedies, specifically Euphrasia, Wyethia, Sabadilla and Sticta. If any of you have had good experiences using these rx for hay fever i would be very grateful to know of them
Kind regards

Re: Hello all
Oh my goodness! I just tried homeopathic medicine for the first time! My five year old
daughter was awake all night every night... so tired with spastic dry coughing. I went to
my local health food store and they recommended Drosera Rotundifolia. I bought it only
because it seemed fairly cheap for "medicine" and I was so desperate and tired and scared.
I don't sleep when she doesn't sleep. This has been going on for years. The very first
night, I gave her five pills and she fell asleep and she didn't cough, ....ONCE!! I'm in
shock!! How is this possible? I don't totally understand the science of homeopathy but I'm
so excited to learn.
Maybe with my own health issues, which have always been many, I can get help, as well. I
had a uterine ablation done, a few years ago, which turned into horrendous adhesions
from bleeding going backward. My whole abdomen and torso area were a mess. The
colon stuck to the uterus. The intestines stuck to the ovary. It was a disaster. I was in so
much pain for over half a year, in the emergency room, with doctors telling me it was just
"gas" or "constipation" until they finally did emergency surgery when I came in screaming
and collapsed on the floor. They ended up taking my whole uterus and one ovary. They
had to clean huge pockets that were full of blood and adhesions everywhere.
I felt relief after this, although I was angry with myself for having ever done the initial
uterine ablation in the first place and trusting the doctor who swore to me what a
wonderful perfect procedure it would be for me and how much it would help my intense
bleeding problems. I wish back then, I'd know about natural medicine. I was so ignorant
and naive. Now, I believe I have what they call endometriosis.. or something like that,
because I can feel the adhesions growing again and the pain is coming back. I'm very,
very scared and don't want to go in for more surgery. It seems like whatever they do, it
always involves more drugs and more surgeries at a later date, and I'm so tired of this.
Does anyone here know of a homeopathic medicine for adhesions? I had to fight them like
mad just to keep my one ovary, and I'm afraid if I go back in again, they'll take the last
one, and I don't want to be on hormone drugs if I can help it.
I'm sorry if I sound desperate. I'm very happy about my daughter getting help and I would
so love it if there was something also for my situation.
Any thoughts appreciated!

Re: Hello all
Hi Amy,
First--welcome to "the club"!
I mean, of being both amazed and
baffled by "how it works".
Re your adhesions, a remedy you should read up on (can probably Google
some) is thiosinamin; adhesions are its specialty (tho there are others
that can be indicated instead). OTOH the best thing would be to have
your entire case taken, in case a different remedy might be needed--and
to give guidance about how to respond to any changes, and how to keep
improvements rolling along!
Having seen how beautifully it can work, I recommend that you start
looking for a good homeopathic doctor because, while acute care (such
as your experience with your daughter's cough) can be so dramatic,
where homeopathy shines its brightest is in long-term chronic care,
which tends hugely reduce need for acute care (homeopathic or
otherwise) and also just gets everything in the mind/body system
working better, and more harmoniously.

It's amazing, isn't it? Like you, I was lucky to hit on the right remedy
(for my oldest son's night and naptime terrors) on my first try with
homeopathy.
Just in case you didn't know, don't keep on giving her the Dros, thinking
that you will keep the cough from coming back. Don't give her anymore unless
she starts coughing again! Otherwise you may provoke a "proving," which
means that she'll start coughing again *because* of the medicine, and I'm
sure you don't want that to happen.
For something this complicated, you'll probably need to see a homeopathic
doctor. The choice of remedy is based on specific symptoms, and with this
kind of thing, there's too much going on to just say "oh, here's something
for adhesions." There are a number of remedies that might include adhesions
in the "remedy picture," and without knowing all your other symptoms, it
would be impossible to choose between them (or at least impossible to choose
and be *right,* except by accident or luck).

Re: Hello all
Hi Amy
The best suggestion anyone can give to you is to find a good classical homeopath in your area. Homeopathy treats the totality of the individual not just the physical issues you are experiencing. You will be amazed at what homeopathy can do.
Good luck

Re: Hello all
i have often described homeopathy as close to magic as you will ever find
if you begin to read up on this wonderful protocol, it will be life changing for
you regarding your understandings of how things work and the potentials
for safe health care.
Homeopathy: Beyond Flat Earth Medicine by Timothy Dooley, ND, MD
is a very nice little book to read as a beginning. It is the story of a man's
journey into this profession. lots of case examples and easy reading for a
quick overview. you can order it online through minimum price books, as
one source.

Re: Hello all
My first time also blew my socks off. I had gangrene of the thigh,
and was due for leg amputation. A week later my leg was healing just
fine after a year of no luck with regular medicine.
Try reading George Vithoulkas's little book for a nice intro:
Homeopathy: Medicine of (for?) the Modern Man

Re: Hello all
Shannon, thank you so much! I didn't realize that I'd need to look for a homeopathic
"doctor." Because I know so little right now, I'd assumed, I was supposed to just look up
my symptoms in a book and go buy the "remedy." Lol.. I'm pretty ignorant, but excited to
learn!!
I'll start looking for a good doc in our area, then.
Thank you.

Re: Hello all
Hi, Celia! LOVE you name!
I'm really interested in what you used for your child's night terrors. My oldest child has the
craziest dreams and is often screaming at night. I always feel so bad for her that she
terrorized in her sleep. So, maybe I could try out what you've used. She's also extremely
hyper, in general, and has trouble shutting her mind down and going to sleep at all.. so I
tried something called, "Coffea something or rather...."(can't remember)
Thank you so much for the tip on not continuing with the med for my youngest and her
coughing. She won't go to bed without it, now.. because she's so afraid that she'll have to
go back to coughing all the time like she used to.. so today, I'll explain to her that she'll
be fine, and that it isn't meant to take forever. She'll understand that. I just needed to
understand that MYSELF!
Thanks for that!!
