arnica 30c for initial shock
symph 30c for bone healing
probably 1 or 2x daily

i usually see a shift with the arnica that indicates
a calming. one person with a broken neck, 3 yrs after
the injury, reported hearing music in his head which he
found very pleasant. with my cat, he was in a state of
shock. after 1 hr he was very calm and relaxed, just
not able to move due to the injury. i have no doubt
that the arnica dealt with the initial shock/bruising to
the system and the symphy followed well with healing the bones

Elbow fractures are generally not plaster-casted for this reason:
It can cause the elbow to be "frozen", so they are put in a sling to
limit movement while still allowing enough movement to keep the break
from solidifying the joint and limiting movement in future where the
bone calcifies.

Hi,
this depends on the type of fracture. There are fractures which have to be inmobilized in a plaster cast. The loss of movement depends on the time in the cast, up to 3 weeks is no problem but I have seen patients with 5 weeks of cast regain there whole range of movement.
