Tanya and others,
To clarify for you, since you did not understand, and for anyone else who did not understand that by “causation + symptoms”, I was referring to using the totality of the case as it presented in its one-sidedness = symptoms, PLUS using the causation. Causation referring to the how/why the disease develops in the individual. Many people make the mistake of not considering causation.
Please refer to literature for an explanation of one-sideness of cases if you are unfamiliar with the term.
I apologize to some people for my stated simplification in sharing what I had found effective in this particular case. I did not realize there were people on this list who still converse with the line of thought of using a this-for-that type of prescribing. What I said was said simplistically given that all reading understand the given implication that one considers the entire case, the totality of the case, always. That said, all lurking, or making incorrect assumptions beyond what is written, never choose a remedy based on this-for-that prescribing. You may very well end up chasing your tail. Also, never make assumptions about what someone else writes…or says….or does! I will try to be more verbose for those who might read into what I have said and make assumptions, and confusion for others.
Regards,
Roxanne

Re: Lyme Disease Help
Shannon,
At the time, over 10 years ago, I didn't appreciate how fortunate I was to study with her. Too bad she's not teaching new students now. The case I remember best was a young man with some boils on his leg. After listening and watching her take the case, we did our repping then discussed it. While most of us used the typical rubrics, maybe more physical, food likes, etc. and came to some remedy choices. Jane said, NO!, don't you see, he's a spider! Later on, he took the spider based remedy and it helped his boils.
The ability to interpret things differently than most is one quality of a successful classical lay homeopath. I differentiate that from a successful classical medical homeopath like Dr. Ramakrishnan. Jane writes about Jung, dream intepretation and incorporates that in practice. Dr. Aur couldn't care less. Having been treated by both lay and medical homeopaths both are extremely helpful depending on when you need them and where you're at in your miasm(s) progression. Either way, classical and striving to follow Hahnemann is what matters. Usually these successful masters don't incorporate other healing modalities to mix and match a quasi-cure.
We can all sit at the piano and tickle the ivories or put paint to a palette, most of us won't be Mozart or Da Vinci. We should embrace our classical masters instead of figuring out how to bypass them due to our own inadequacies.
