Believe it or not it was one taught by a lecturer at our college, can't remember who for that one!!!:-) That's where I learnt about it!! I only give it for a generalised flu. The Ars Iod bit is what Dr AUR calls homeopathic penicillin!!
There were also a few Combos that were suggested by Ann S from clinical practice but mostly for gynae stuff.

Never mind, Rochelle! Time and the suffering are of the essence in a prescription like this. Did you cure them of their acute? Yes? Then that's all that matters!
The classical prescribing can wait until you've got more time. Then you can go for the complete picture and go deeper.
And that's the beauty of homeopathy - so many ways to use it

With this particular patient (of about 8 years) her remedy has always been Lach. As I have already said she had a 50 M which last time lasted her 2 years only 6 weeks ago so this is an acute!! Interesting is that the sore throat is typically left sided!!

If you read the Organon, where John & I have been discussing it, the Master quite categorically rejects Combos.
Also an acute remedy can be a good guide for your chronic prescribing. So you long term job becomes clears and easier.
One of the problems that was only reported here a couple days back by our colleague from Pakistan and confirmed many times by Sheilagh Creasy, is that when you treat using combo, you do not know what has been effective, so your second prescription is more difficult and the result is a cloudy picture.

What college was that? And how much did they charge you for tuition fees?

Hit and miss homeopathy. I cannot think of a single time when there isn't time to take the case to find the single simillimum. Why not apply the same combo protocol for chronic cases as well as this is following your same logic.

Yes, Soroush, but....
1) The difficulty with a second prescription doesn't apply with an acute.
2) Some of us have moved on since Hahnemann's days and want to try different methods. Which is not to reject everything, just to say that there must be more than one way to skin a cat. And generally, something as good as homeopathy will have more than one method of use. Otherwise, it wouldn't be 'great'.
3) Even Hahnemann himself progressed and altered his ideas - and that was a long time ago.

Why bother throwing the Organon at one who disbelieves? Perhaps you have never even read it. There are enemies of homeopathy under all stones however large or small.
