HI Irene - I understand what you are saying but the allergy sufferers
reported in the doco reported much improved symptoms???? So there must be
some mechanism that worked for them?? Pauline

Hard to say without knowing the details though.....

Hi Irene,

Only just found your reply here - I still don't get your messages
straight into my inbox and have to find them on the site. Thanks for the
explanation. My understanding was that autoimmune was only one type of
skewing - but that there was probably an undealt with pathogen at the
base of it, so what you've explained makes lots of sense. It didn't make
sense to me that people with cancer usually don't get colds, but those
with leukemia get too many.
It could be interesting to connect the individual Th-1, Th-2 disease
ratios into the miasmatic pictures. It could be that particular groups
of miasmatic remedies could encompass particular sets of ratios.
Now this is not the usual explanation of auto-immune! I thought
auto-immune meant that the body was mistakenly attacking itself. One is
a passive model - the other active. So does this equate to that the
symptoms of an auto-immune disease/cancer/other locked Th skew are not
symptoms that are good for individual prescribing, because they are the
disease picture rather than symptoms which come from the vital force?

It's complicated and seems to need a thought process that operates on a
few different layers at the same time. It fits in with Ramakrishnan's
cancer approach which is about aggressively targeting the disease first
and looking for the constitutional only when the cancer is exhausted.

Gail.

Are they in your spam folder perhaps?
If not you can ask your ISP why you do not get them if you like:-)
In any case your ISP should be allowing all yahoogroups mail through,
regardless of sender! There is somewhere that Yahoo lists all their
groups servers, specifically so that ISPs can do that. (I have the
address somewhere, not with me today, if your ISP needs it.)
Otherwise who knows what other mail you are also missing?
All to do with cytokine balances for specific cytokines for the illness.
That would indeed be interesting.
Perhaps constitutional types also are relevant in this.
It works out the same. Normally that would be prevented, but if some
cytokines are out of action it can not be prevented. For example if
macrocytes usually engulf bacrteria and viruses but the Th-1
cytokines do not provide any, then the body will be attacked by
viruses and bacteria (such as in AIDS, Leukaemia, etc). Or for
example in the FIP illness I work with, the few macrocytes produced
(as they are a Th-1 response and FIP is Th-2 skewed illness) are so
weak that the FIP virus actually uses them as a place to replicate
itself, producing high fever and thus conditions that make it easy to
chemically change the DNA so that the resultant activity is to
attack anything that looks like a cat cell, and not the FIP virus
organisms!

So, often there is interaction between immune cytokine imbalance and
the way a microbe takes advantage of it. The microbe is designed to
do just that - and take advantage of it in order to replicate itself.
This adds to the complexity of different cytokine imbalances. It is a
huge field of study, still relatively in its infancy. AIDS also
involves microbes taking advantage of cytokine imbalance (in this
case affecting mostly CD4 and CD8 cells.)

There is a lot more to DNA than used to be thought. It is anything
but fixed as people used to think. It CAN be reprogrammed, switched
on, switched, off etc. And microbes can cause that - as can chemicals.
I think it will tie in nicely with miasms, constitutional type
predispositions and environmental onslaughts. I also think homeopathy
somehow gets the body to undo badly managed DNA, and restore balance
- I'd love to see cytokine profiles before and after homeopathy cures
an individual..
We can ASSUME there is balance afterwards, and we can KNOW there
is imbalance during disease (as that is documented) but it still
would be nice to see "in writing:" as it were:-)
Yes I think the cause is relevant.
WHY did the system get skewed?
If due to chemical onslaught versus emotional trauma, might not the
remedy needed be different?
I believe this mainly because of my work with FIP, involving more
than 400 cases now.
I seldom use the same remedy with the same set of symptoms (and
sometimes but not often, they are the same) unless the *cause* of FIP
is the same and the constitutional type is also the same. Also
because the exact cytokine ratios are not documented on a case by
case basis - I can not draw real conclusions about remedy versus
cytokines. I can only say that sometimes when the symptoms and
constitutional type seem identical but the *cause* is different, I
need a different remedy.
Example: Two cats of Lycopodium constitutional type with effusive
form of FIP - same marasmus, inappetance, weakness, ascites, etc. But
different cause: One young and triggered by excessive vaccines, the
other older and triggered by constant bullying from another cat over
time. Young one came right with China, older one with Bar-c. I would
love to know what cytokine picture each one had:-(
There's no standard test ordinarily available to dertermine this,
cytokines are measured in research only at present.
I do it differently with FIP (the fastest-moving feline chronic
disease). Seems to me the constitutioanl remedy provides additional
support during very severe illness:
So I find it best to go after the disease aggressively yes, and in
fact that is absolutely essential - but ideally using the
constitutional remedy at the same time, (if I can determine it). So
in both the above mentioned cases, I was using Lyc 200C regularly
from the 2nd day. First day I always use simillimum only as I need to
confirm it is right and acting at the dose/potency/frequency etc that
I chose. Soon as I have that set up, I add constitutional remedy,
usually by day 2. (In FIP you might not get day 3.) In the above
cases, the kitten got it daily (and simillimum several times a day) ,
the older cat got it weekly, (and simillimum more often).
This constitutional remedy dosing too is individualized according to
how much constitutional support/stimulus seems needed to sustain the
cat and provide a "crutch" through severe disease, which the
simillimum must remove.
[I hasten to add this is MY approach that works for my cases, that I
consider it homeopathic due to how it is individualized and I make no
apologies for the fact that it is not in line with some other
peoples' thinking! I believe the constitutional type can be skewed
just as there can also be actual disease present - and that both may
need to be addressed, and that bolstering the constitutional type
helps the individual through severe disease.]
Once the FIP is beaten (if I can get to that point), I taper the
constitutional remedy dosing schedule - but stick with 200C
generally. I also then use FIP 30C a few doses every 6 months for 4
go-rounds to build and cement resistance.
So far, this has meant no FIP recurrences, and also has led to easy
recovery from future illness episodes.

Namaste,
Irene
