Irene, that sounds great!
Do you remember about how much it cost? ("Inexpensive" being such a
relative term for furniture!)

Re: Cases or storage system for Boiron tubes
Hi all,
I found a library card file case, like what libraries used to use, each book had a card with info on it, the drawers are about 5 x 7 x 20 deep or so. I made dividers (called cell dividers in the industry) out of tag board (thin white poster board) on a cold winter evening.
My unit has 30 drawers and It was $15 at a library sale. I've seen them on ebay, but because they are heavy, the shipping is high.
Each drawer holds over 100 tubes standing on end. I use 1/2 inch round labels to label the ends of the tube.
With making the cell dividers and the labels, it does take some time to set up. But once it is set up, it is a breeze to use.
Here is a reasonably priced ebay library card file cabinet:

I also have remedies stored in a unit similar to this one, below, and I like it even more because it holds so many remedies in each drawer. Again I've made the cell dividers, stand the remedies on end.

they sell these type of card file drawers in office supply
outlets. they have pull out drawers so can be purchased
according to the size of one's remedy collection. and it
easy to add onto the set up.
they are relatively inexpensive

Re: Cases or storage system for Boiron tubes
I have homeopathic products (various potencies—some unusual here in the US) that were bought in all sorts of containers from Russia and other countries where we lived. Most Boiron, but many are not. I used to use the plastic hardware drawers, but a lot of my little containers didn’t fit in the drawers, so I went over to heavy ziplock plastic bags. Each one is labeled with the remedy name and inside are all the different containers for that [polychrest mostly] remedy. I keep them in alphabetical order in a couple of big drawers. Works for me as a lay homeopath and for my stash of weird containers, but when on occasion I am offering someone else a remedy, I usually take them from the 50- or 100-remedy “professional” kits.

PS when we first lived in Moscow, remedies came in little square cardboard boxes about 1.5 inches square; biggish pellets. During our tour there, the Russian company went over to putting them in little fat white round plastic tubes with pry-off lids. When you pried off the lid, if you weren’t careful, you spilled a lot of the contents because the lid would come off very suddenly. If there was another potency than 6c, my meager Russian did not allow me to find it. There was only one homeopathic pharmacy that I knew of, a very big one on the Ring Road in downtown Moscow. It gave old-style Soviet service and was always very busy though I never heard of anyone consulting a homeopath and was never able to find one there myself except a Heel practitioner once.

Each square in my drawers holds several Boiron tubes. I label the
rows A, B, C whatever.... it works really well.
One buys them "ready to assemble" and it took me an evening to put it

Dear All,
not having access to cartridge cases etc. you can view our bottles (5-10 ml) solution online in our newsletter
http://www.abhalight.org/nl.html
We have simply used a "lid box" file that you can find in most european office supplies. I don't know if they are available in USA. they are simply file box that opens from the flat side, not the top.
Then we take a little time to snip bits of cardboard strips and make a cardboard waffle to hold the bottles.
takes a little time, but a satisfactory solution at low cost.

Re: Cases or storage system for Boiron tubes
I store my remedies in plastic IN/OUT trays – I found a particular one (and were really cheap – Aust$2 each from a liquidation store) that had good straight sides front and back (instead of a sloped ‘in’ part of the tray that some have – I cut card board strips for separating the bottles into rows in the trays and keep them in alphabetical order in the trays with the contents marked by the first and last remedies in the tray on stickers on the front of trays – I then got a cupboard that approx 2 ½ feet by 3 feet wide and built shelves in it that fitted the trays well (they fit 3 trays across each shelf) and a slightly larger shelf at the bottom that holds my cream bottles and a 500ml tincture bottle and misc items – it works well and is quite a compact way really. The cupboard sits on a long table, I use as my dispensary area, so they are eye height and I just slide out the trays to get to the remedies – the gaps left always help me find their places again when tidying up after a busy clinic. i have explored the same problem for years.
there are some leather wrap up type units.
they have limited storage.
i have looked into making a plastic prototype
to sell but the cost for set up and small
numbers of units would be prohibitive for me
since i didnt want to go into the marketing of
these boxes.
i have thought about making my own wooden cases.
too much time needed for a nice job and not much
of that.
i have resorted to these multi-draw storage
boxes with many little drawers. the tubes just
barely fit into the drawers and there never seems
to be enough. but they are pretty cheap and you
can keep buying more of them. i also save all
the small heavy cardboard boxes that get sent to me.
and lastly i have resorted to heavy plastic containers
that you can pick up in the dollar stores. some of them
have a good depth so you can stand the tubes up. it would
be better to cut some dividers to help keep better order.
i also get deeper containers for the bottles of liquid
potencies.
dont know if this helps but may get your gray matter going
tanya
