Leaving and makes me sick Vaccines, was 30 Holistic Doctors Poisoned in Germany

Post by Tanya Marquette »

Sheri

I have not been reading that extensively these days due to other demands on my time.
However, I think what you offer here is invaluable. Let me note, that as with most lists/groups,
the majority are silent readers. I have to assume that when information is put out it is read by
many who become newly informed on the subject.

Vaccines are so tricky because of how people are socialized and indoctrinated to believe in the
power of allopathic medicine. I have written about this before. You run head on into the cognitive
dissonance of people, even highly educated and presumably astute people.

In this case we are seeing that Soroush has bought into this false belief system that vaccines actually
killed the scourge of smallpox. It is the liberal position: fence sitting. The progressive stance is to
state your principles and operate on them full time.

Please reconsider remaining here despite the frustration.

What "false belief system"?

It makes homeopathic sense that cowpox applications got rid of the similar disease of Smallpox.
What evidence do you have to the contrary?
Are you sugugesting the Law of Similars failed in this case but works in all others?

If Sheri would rather leave than acquire some common decencey in her writing, some manners, that is her decision, and her own doing.
I do wish Sheri would choose to learn from known facts such as in virology and bacteriology, or anything else she has not bothered to study but is happy to spread misinformatiomn about, despite valid opposing, up to date knowledge on the subjects.

Perpetuting falsehoods is not a way to promote homeopathy or anything else.
Namaste,
Irene

Vicki--

Let me speak from my years of organizing and working with people on many issues--most of them
very controversial.
.
Being polite and soft may feel nice and it is a good practice to keep the temperature down.
However, there comes a point in an argument when lines need to be drawn. This is a special group, one
that presumably is trained in homeopathic perspectives, philosophy and practice. Many have had direct
experience dealing with vaccine damage and the failure of vaccines.

It becomes an oxymoron to call for polite acceptance of oppositional positions on something so critical
to health and well being of the people of the earth, and our animal companions as well.

If we are at the point of just beginning a discussion on vaccine dangers, then I can understand the fury
of someone like Sheri. I share her feelings totally. There should not even be any controversy about this issue.
We may have differences in how we treat the damage. But we should be way beyond discussing whether
vaccines are supportable or not.

Someone like Sheri who has devoted her work to teaching about vaccine dangers has every right to be
able to vent her deep frustration and disgust at this sorry state of affairs in this community.

People don't like getting political, but there is no way to understand Vaccines, or health care altogether,
without understanding the politics and economics behind mainstream promotion of vaccines. That is what
people should be discussing if they are not well versed in this arena--not whether it is okay to support them.

Dear Tanya
Of course colleagues should be able to express their frustrations, anger - whatever emotions - about a subject dear to their heart.

However, that does not allow them to be offensive and rude about it.
Making a statement like "You sound like you work for Merck." is to my mind insulting.

It was TOTALLY unnecessary because it achieved absolutely nothing in countering the use of vaccines. What did it teach? NOTHING? Did it help anyone? I very much doubt it?
Sheri could have given more evidence (taking into account the amount she and other have written in the aftermath of her post) that the stance Elham had taken was not correct. Similar to the MMR blog I posted a few minutes ago.
Best wishes

Soroush

This isn't about discussing whether vaccines are suppoetable or not - it is abou HOW to make things better and express anger at teh PROBLEM - - at the VIEW being expressed - not at the PERSON expressing their views.

Attacking people is not ever justifiable.
Attacking their VIEWS is always justifiable.

I am not sure I agree with you.
I have been in situations where I make strong statements to create
shock to penetrate someone's faulty believe system. Sheri's statement
was a reality check from my perspective.

I would have been bothered if curse words were used but criticizing
someone's position by likening it to something clearly unacceptable is
more a wake up call. In the face of all kinds of information having been
provided over time, I can see that someone tries to crack what appears
to be myopic reality.

I think you hit the nail on the head Sheri. I have seen this many times with people whose
lives are pretty 'soft,' people who have lived decent lives with minimal stressess and a sense
of entitlement. It is very hard/impossible for them to understand the depth of feeling and
intensity of experience that others have suffered. They cannot believe that what you are
saying is that extreme in reality.. As a consequence there are lots of excuses made for the
damaging situation and demands for softer approaches and an avoidance for taking strong
action. This does cause a great deal of frustration for people deep in the trenches of the struggle.

I see this a lot in dealing with racism, for example, or child abuse or battering, or extreme poverty, etc.
Always the same dynamic.

So best I can say to you, is "Keep the Faith, Baby," and make sure you have people around you for
support.

I thought "You sound like you work for Merck" was pretty mild and not all that offensive when you look at some of the things thrown around on this list. It's not even a personal attack but an observation, albeit possibly flawed

To my way of thinking there has been an over-reaction all the way round.

Fran.

Mercury Retrograde Libra cycle for 2 months, now increasing intensity during pre-shadow phase approaching 9/14-22 when fast moving Mercury stalls at 15 degrees for 8 days. Some late Virgos and Libras who have Mercury in Libra natal may feel it worse than others overall.
