In most countries a very few vaccines are actually compulsory. The cocktail of vaccines given are not usually compulsory. Vaccines do have side effects but so do diseases such as polio. If people had not been vaccinated for smallpox we would still be suffering from it. So if a vaccine is being used worldwide to eradicate a disease it is good to support it. If the suffering of one generation can bring happiness for generations to come it is good to take that risk.
